Most people don’t actually train their core… they just train their abs.

Core stability isn’t about crunches. It’s about your ability to control your spine under load.

When you do this properly, you’re training:
– Deep core (not just surface abs)
– Breath + pressure control
– Pelvic floor
– Spinal movement under load

Which carries over into everything. Your lifts. Your posture. Your ability to move pain-free.

Not feeling confident to step into large groups yet?

Semi-Private training. Its our most popular forms of training at The Lab. Because at some point in our life, a more individualised program for our goals, injuries, or just for comfort, is needed.

These small group training sessions, give you a small group to train with but an individualised program, so you get the benefits of a personal training session but with a small group. We offer 2 or 3 sessions per week, but as many of you know, we recommend 3 sessions per week to get results, no matter your goals. But you also get a bonus session with these memberships.

Lifting weights isn’t just about lifting a heavy barbell. We use different objects to change the positioning of our body when we lift, to create strength at different positions, to prepare for a life that doesn’t always give us straight lines and convenient handles.

Gaylene 🙌 Absolutely smashing her goal this month, Park run in under 30min, she reached that goal last week in 29:19 👊 Gaylene has been consistent and committed and her results show, all the team at The Lab are super proud 🥲

Gaylene said “So proud of myself today! After deciding in January to take up running and setting a goal to get under 30 minutes for Parkrun, today was the day with time of 29:19🏃‍♀️
