Why? To show how tough it can be to breathe with COPD when airways are narrowed and inflamed, 30 seconds later and everyone has a whole new appreciation for healthy lungs.

If you think you may be experiencing COPD symptoms, book an appointment with your GP or call us on (03) 5022 5444 to learn more about our lung and pulmonary exercise groups.

It’s World Diabetes Day, so we took a moment to sit down with our Diabetes Educator, Simone, to talk about why early intervention is so important.

“There's a lot of misunderstanding about diabetes. Many people think that once you have it, you just have to accept the long-term effects such as nerve and eye damage or kidney disease, but in many cases, that’s not true. When diabetes is caught early, small changes like improving nutrition, increasing movement, and working on weight management can make a huge difference. For some people, diabetes can even go into remission.”

We know that life can be complicated and that everyone has things happening behind the scenes. That’s why our diabetes educators are here, not just to educate, but to support you and connect you with any other services you may need. Our goal is holistic, person-centred care.

If you would like to learn more about how a Diabetes Educator can help you, contact our team on (03) 5022 5444.
