We’re excited to see South Australia taking another big step toward safer roads for everyone! 🚗💛

The first 40 km/h time-based school zone has officially gone live at Marryatville High School! 🎉
This change will help keep students safer as they travel to and from school — and it brings SA in line with other states that already use lower speed limits around busy school zones.

From now on, the 40 km/h limit will apply on school days between 8:00–9:30 am and 2:00–4:00 pm, excluding weekends, public holidays, and school holidays.

A huge thank you to everyone working behind the scenes to make our roads safer for kids, families, and drivers alike. 👏

The first 40km zone is now switched on ✅ Thanks to Alice Rolls and Cressida O’Hanlon MP for joining me this morning at Marryatville High School for this announcement.

We want our kids to be safe as they walk to and from school, and this initiative will do just that.

Occupational Therapy is all about helping people live life to the fullest — and today, that meant getting back behind the wheel.

We just completed a successful on-road driving assessment using a range of hand controls for a client whose legs are no longer safe for pedal use. From spinner k***s to satellite controllers, we explored real solutions for real independence.

OT Week is a chance to shine a light on the incredible work OTs do every day — helping people overcome barriers and reclaim their freedom.

This morning’s breakfast at Williams OT was a celebration of everything that makes our profession extraordinary - teamwork, compassion, and quick thinking.

Our celebration took an unexpected turn when an ambulance had to be called - but with a house full of OTs, safety came first and calm heads prevailed. It turned into a real-time demonstration of a person lift - an unplanned but powerful reminder of the skills we bring to every situation.

Bonus? Everyone got to witness it in action. Unplanned Personal Development, anyone? 😅

Occupational Therapy in Action isn’t just a theme—it’s what we live every day. It was a great reminder of how capable, compassionate, and quick-thinking OTs are—on the job and off.
Happy to all the legends out there!

🎉 It’s and we’re celebrating the heart of occupational therapy - creativity, compassion, and problem-solving in action!

At Williams OT, we see the extraordinary impact of OT every day. From helping clients regain independence after injury, to selecting the home modifications that support safe and meaningful living, our team is driven by purpose and passion.

The number one fear I hear from parents?
“We’ve missed the boat. He’s 19 now. We should have started years ago.”
I want you to know something: You haven’t missed the boat.

We’ve worked with families whose teens are 16, 19, even 25 and progress happens when the right support is in place.
Driving isn’t about a magic age. It’s about confidence, readiness, and calm.

And those can be built at any stage.
