ICHP Australia is one of 5 international schools headquartered in Europe and with a very highly respected reputation worldwide.
In 2000 the Principal of ICHP Ireland, Dr Keaney, granted a License which permitted the formation of ICHP (Australia) and the teaching in Australasia and SE Asia of the ICHP Foundation Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy. Certificates and Diplomas are awarded jointly by ICHP Headquarters and ICHP (Australia) and are recognized throughout the world.
ICHP(Australia) currently teaches the ICHP Foundation, Diploma and Advanced Diploma and Associate Degree courses (under Licence) in a format intended to ensure Experiential-humanistic and Cognitive-behavioural-based training and assessment, and clinical application, in support of evidence-based hypnotherapy and Hypno-psychotherapy. These Courses are long established (more than 20 years) Courses taught at para-professional and professional level throughout Europe under a regime of Professional Vocational Education and Higher Education. Evidence–based training ensures that would-be Clinical Hypnotherapy-psychotherapy practitioners recognize, and apply, the recognized treatment most appropriate to their client and the condition presented. This is ensured by means of the application, during training, of appropriate assessment tools, clinical studies, personal supervision and continuous monitored self-development throughout the courses at a level appropriate to the type of qualification.
The Principal lecturers/trainers, mentors and Supervisors in ICHP(Australia) are highly qualified practicing Clinical therapists with a variety of post-graduate qualifications, Degrees, Advanced Diplomas in Hypnotherapy-psychotherapy. As Clinical Therapists they are also Members of Peak Associations.
