Physiotherapy services for children and adolescents with neurological conditions

Paediatric Physiotherapy focuses on optimising the development and function of babies through to adolescents. At Summit Rehab, we provide early intervention to children with neurological disorders such as Cerebral Palsy and genetic conditions. Cuevas Medek Exercise (CME) is an intervention developed by Ramón Cuevas in 1972 specifically designed to treat children with neurological motor delays. CME challenges the child’s neuromuscular system with exercises designed to provoke a response against gravity with distal support. This improves their posture, strength and balance whilst promoting neuroplasticity and improving gross motor skills. Exercise Physiologists specialise in prescribing exercises for people with chronic disease and disability. At Summit Rehab, our Exercise Physiologists focus on strength, flexibility and endurance of children, adolescents and young adults to improve function and quality of life.

✨ CAREER HIGHLIGHT ✨
I’ve been working with Ms J for over 5.5 years, and today was not only her best session ever; but it was one of the most exciting sessions I’ve had in my decade long career!

After years of counting steps and numerous regressions and set backs, Ms J has now been walking independently for the past 4 months! 🙌🏻

We started our session with our usual vestibular prep and while crawling, Ms J decided to do her first 4 point to stand transition. We were so excited, but it didn’t stop there!!

Ms J blew our mind as she transitioned to stand using only one leg! First her left, then her right! 🤯

Lots of excitement and tears, and Ms J still wasn’t done! She walked over to the stairs and walked up 3 steps all on her own!

What a great end to the year!! I can’t wait to see what goals are smashed in 2026! ❤️

✨ Blessed with the BEST! 🦚

A great afternoon in clinic with a paint and sip to celebrate another fantastic year! I’m always so thankful to be surrounded by such strong and caring women! And am so grateful that I am apart of their kids team!! ❤️🥂🎅🏼

Summit Mum’s Christmas Party! 🎄🎅🏼🥂

Bringing these beautiful, strong women together every year so they can connect, laugh and enjoy some drinks, is my favourite annual event!

Their connection and support means even more now that I’m a mum! I’m forever grateful for their advice, understanding and love, especially on the days when Gabriel is in the clinic!

✨ The evolution of Summit Rehab ✨

2019 - Wattle Grove - The first summit clinic was in the front room of my house and had a grand piano in the middle of the room. I also offered mobile Physio services
2020 - Holsworthy - The clinic moved to the downstairs of a townhouse I lived in. Then back to Wattle Grove with no more piano
2021 - Sandy Point - Summit moved to its first commercial space with 2 rooms. This was an interesting location with a resident peacock
2024 - Milperra - Our latest upgrade is to Milperra with a nice open gym, 2 private rooms and a parents lounge.

After 3.5 years at Sandy Point, it’s time for the next adventure!

We’re excited to announce that Summit is moving to a bigger clinic!

From Monday 5th August we’ll be treating from Milperra!

We can’t wait for everyone to see our new space.. designed perfectly for physios… and our personalities 🤪

✨ Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI)

We had the privilege of completing level Intro C last week with the amazing from .au

It was great to have a refresher of old exercises and learn some new ones, especially some new ways to hold and support kids.
