Our principal optometrist Kylie McNeill was invited to speak at the MyDay MiSight 1-Day Launch Event after being honoured to receive early access to the new contact lenses prior to their launch.

She was asked to talk alongside her wonderful peer, Kylie Zahner, about her experience with this new silicone hydrogel material design. With its ease, improved comfort, and oxygen permeability, this is sure to be our new go-to for myopic control with soft contact lenses.

Thank you to Cooper Vision for inviting Kylie to talk about her experience. What an excellent night of learning from Dr Arthur Bradley, Dr Preeya Alexander, and Joe Tanner - thank you for passing on your wisdom.

On November 10th we celebrated World Keratoconus Day 💙 This year, The Optical Nook joined the National Keratoconus Foundation to help spread awareness of Keratoconus, a condition which is often misunderstood.

Keratoconus is close to our hearts as we fit many patients with specialty RGP and scleral lenses that help restore sight when glasses just aren’t enough!

Our Principal Optometrist Kylie and Optical Dispenser Cayde helped spread awareness by handing out ice cream cones in store 🍦 and chatting with patients about regular eye exams and reducing eye rubbing habits.

We’re continuously grateful to the NKCF for their ongoing research and advocacy for Keratoconus! 👁️✨
