In a world where nothing is certain, Advance Care Planning offers individuals the chance to make choices and have their preferences heard for their future medical care.

Advance Care Planning Australia invites all Australians to pause and reflect on what matters most, as we embrace the theme ‘Your story, your choice.’ Every story is unique.

On Saturday Dr. Katie Macartney joined Amanda McDonald and the team from , along with dietitian Renee Jennings .dietitian and Kate Baric from .healthclub to discuss all things Women's Health. The importance of movement, load bearing exercise and diet in preventing chronic disease and optimising health and vitality was the focus. It was a great event attended by 80 local women. Things we learnt:

1. Protein is vital for strength, growth and repair and immune function. Protein should be the starting point for meal prep.
2. Resistance training will not make you bulky - it will make you strong, functional and help you lead an independent life in the future.
3. Our pelvic floor helps us in everyday activities, supports bladder and bowel health and s*xual function. Problems with continence, painful s*x and prolapse are not normal and can be discussed with your health professional.
4. Diet and exercise help protect us from chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, dementia and osteoporosis. Speak to your GP to find out more.
