School holidays are almost here! Before the kids dive into fun (and maybe a little chaos), swing by for a quick GP check-up.
Because healthy kids = happy holidays (and hopefully fewer “Are we there yet?”s)!

Incidental sun exposure adds up. Protect your skin when you’re out and about to reduce your risk of developing skin cancer.
🔆 Slip on a shirt: pack a lightweight, long-sleeved shirt in your car for spontaneous outings.
🔆 Slop on sunscreen: leave a bottle of broad-spectrum, water-resistant SPF 50+ sunscreen by your front door or next to your keys to grab and go.
🔆 Slap on a hat: store a wide-brimmed hat in your car boot or backpack
to grab whenever you head out.
🔆 Seek shade: keep your eyes peeled for shade during breaks or outdoor activities.
🔆 Slide on sunnies: having a pair of sunglasses in your everyday bag means you’re always ready to protect your eyes.

Welcome to Milton Village Medical

At MVM our experienced staff have been committed to excellence in medical care for over ten years. Since we started working together in 2008, our practice has grown and developed. In 2018 it became obvious that we needed more space, hence our move to this beautiful purpose-built clinic at Milton Village. Still very central, we are only 2 km from Brisbane’s city centre, and easily accessible by car, bus or train.

Think of MVM as your General Practice Health Hub – the one place you and your family can easily access all the general practice services you need, whatever your age, background or stage of life. We are passionate about providing excellent medical care to your community, plus preventative screening and health education. Our experienced staff will take the time to get to know you and explore your individual needs. We will help you understand your body, your condition and your treatment options. Come and talk to us about your concerns. Attend one of our educational seminars. Check our page for regular health blogs. Work with us to make informed decisions about your own health care.

Our doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and administration staff have a wide range of experience and training. We gain great satisfaction from providing everything you need, from pregnancy care to men’s health; from diabetic care to travel vaccinations. All our services are listed under the “Services Provided” section of this website. Appointments can be made by phone or internet, and we offer a wide range of times, including on weekends. We ensure a modern, evidence-based clinical approach by attending regular educational events and conducting monthly clinical practice meetings. Our doctors aim to practice in a similar style, so that the continuity of your care is maintained. We work closely with specialists and allied health professionals to make sure your care is holistic, especially if you have a chronic condition.

In Brisbane, we are lucky to have many highly skilled community-based organisations which promote health and well being, such as Beyond Blue, the Cancer Council, Diabetes Australia and Lifeline. These play a valuable role in supporting our work. Similarly, we are committed to supporting them with fundraising activities throughout the year. We hope you’ll be able to come sometimes and share our community spirit.
