This coming Friday will be the first day of our very special retreat on the foothills of Gulaga Mountain here on Yuin Country in beautiful Tilba. It’s also the evening of a total lunar eclipse, known as a “Blood Moon,” which will occur on March 14, 2025. The Moon will turn crimson as Earth passes between it and the Sun. 🌙

This rare event happens when Earth’s atmosphere scatters blue light, allowing red hues to reach the Moon, creating a breathtaking celestial spectacle.

A dear Aunty and cherished friend will hold all this powerfully beautiful energy for us on Country with a very sacred ceremony and inviting us on a journey of remembering the Temple Goddess within each of us. I can’t give too much away as it’s not for me to share, but it will be one of those moments that will change you.

There have been two spaces open up for two fortunate people who choose to jump in. It would be such a shame to miss this alignment of magic. They don’t come around often, if ever, in our lifetime. 🤍💫🌕

Come join me this Sunday morning for a Pop Up Yin and Collective Rest practice to welcome in the Spring Equinox.

9:00am to 10:30am

The Spring Equinox, is a time of renewal and balance between light and dark. It’s also a beautiful time to embrace the same for ourselves, and I can’t think of a better time for a collective rest practice to honour this time.

Collective Rest can be profoundly restorative, offering us a chance to synchronise our energies with nature’s rhythms, promoting a sense of healing and regeneration.

Gathering together allows us to share energy, fostering a sense of community and connection, so, so needed. In the collective stillness, we can release winter’s heaviness, making space for new intentions and growth, just as nature does. It’s a time to reflect, let go, and consciously invite the new energy of spring into our bodies and minds.

Benefits of a Collective Rest Practice:

🌼 Collective rest deepens our connections and fosters belonging without words.
🌼 It amplifies healing, encourages introspection to connect with our needs, and aligns with the equinox’s themes of balance, restoring harmony within ourselves and our relationships while fostering unity with the world around us.

The Yin Yoga session will focus on the Liver and Gallbladder Meridians, supporting our body’s natural processes of digestion and detoxification. Both important elements to focus on during this time of transition. This foundation is important as we prepare to expand outward into the busy energy of spring, ensuring we approach this season of growth from a place of balance and vitality.

Book via link below or DM to secure your spot. No previous yoga experience necassary.

After a huge week of catching up, lots of beautiful warm embrace from my community, and being here in the studio, I thought I would share some reflections on the question I have been asked so many times this week. What was it like to receive the NSW Woman of the Year Award? Well, apart from that sounding strange as it is, I wanted to share the reflections coming from a ‘space holder’ perspective.

As I stood on the stage as a finalist & heard them describe me as a yoga teacher, I couldn’t help but question my presence among such esteemed company. The titles and accolades of the other incredible women seemed weightier, more impactful than the humble label of ‘yoga teacher’ attributed to me. Yet, upon reflection, I remembered that perhaps this is why I am able to be in service the way I am.

You see, being a yoga teacher isn’t just about leading classes or guiding students through poses. It’s about embodying a way of life, one that transcends the physical practice and extends into every aspect of my being.

In my journey through many careers, including as a corporate leader, to environmentalist, disaster recovery clinician, mental health supporter, & youth mentor, MOTHER, yoga has been my steadfast companion, long before being a teacher. It has been the foundation upon which I stood as I navigated the complexities of these roles.

Yoga infuses my life with balance, resilience, & clarity of purpose. It nurtures my physical, mental, and emotional well-being, empowering me to show up fully and authentically in every endeavour.

Apart from being a Mumma, this practice is the most revolutionary path I have walked to date.

A path that has slowly and lovingly shattered the illusion of who I thought was, & unearthed who I really am.

So I want to redefine the role of a Yoga teacher for you.

When I think of Yoga teachers, teachers that are truly embodied on their path, I see leaders. I see people who are nestled inside their communities, who people go to for advice, support or wisdom. I see people that are fundamental to the health & wellbeing of their communities. This is the role of a yoga teacher & I’m proud to be one 🖤

🌿🌟 We are excited to be back this Term with a few Wyld Kids offerings, week starting 12th Feb 🌟🌿

In a world filled with constant stimulation, it’s more crucial now more than ever to carve out spaces for our children to regulate and reconnect with themselves, each other and nature. WYLD KIDS is a beautiful wholistic program that brings movement together with expression, stillness, creativity, and in a community that thrives in connection with nature!

🌱 What is WYLD KIDS about?

It’s a co-regulating space for children and young people (and families), designed to nurture movement, expression, and stillness in sync with nature’s rhythms. Our specialised yoga therapy programs intertwine with art, story, play, music, and more, tailored to each child’s developmental and emotional journey.

🌿 Why WYLD KIDS?

Classes are taught by Monica who has been teaching yoga to thousands of young people for over two decades now and comes with a wealth of experience in a range of modalities. This program fosters a profound connection to nature, seasons, cycles, and country. It’s not just unique; it’s trauma and yoga therapy informed, it’s beautiful, and above all, it’s WYLD – and that’s why we, and the kids, adore it!

In a world of overstimulation, WYLD KIDS offers a sanctuary for children to regulate, recharge, and thrive.

Ready to embark on a WYLD adventure? Enroll your child today and prioritise their well-being in a world of constant noise!

There is a limited timetable for Term 1, with expressions of interest opening up for Term 2 for additional age groups and classes.

This term we will be offering -

Thursdays 9:45am to 10:30am
