The Inclusive Board Games Group are heading to the beach!

🎲 January Board Games Group – Beach Day Edition! ☀️🌊

We’re kicking off the year with sunshine, salty air, and good company at our Board Games Group Beach Day!

📅 Saturday 17 January
⏰ 3:00pm – 6:30pm (feel free to arrive a little earlier)
📍 Flaherty’s Beach
Via Hardwicke Bay Boat Ramp car park staircase
👥 Ages 16–29
💙 Free entry – ice-cream & snacks provided!

This is a laid-back afternoon to connect, play games, and enjoy the beach together. We’ll have board games ready to go, and if you’ve got favourite beach games, feel free to bring them along too.

Whether you’re coming for the games, the laughs, or just to hang out by the water, you’re welcome exactly as you are.

☀️ Bring a hat, sunscreen, comfy clothes, and your summer vibes.

📣 Pop-Up Café This Monday!
Join us on Monday, 17 November at Weaners Flat Hall, Yorketown (opposite the playground on Stansbury Road) for a special Pop-Up Café raising awareness and support for our Community Care Hampers initiative.

This joint initiative between Yorketown Area School, Enabling Country Communities, and SYP Connecting Communities aims to provide long-life foods and goods to local families who may need a little extra support heading into Christmas.

Come along, grab a cuppa, and help us spread the word about this wonderful community project.

Happy Guide Dog Day!

At Enabling Country Communities, we’re proud to support inclusive futures—and today, that includes getting behind a very special mission from Frankie and Guide Dogs SA/NT.

Frankie has donated her favourite toy, Ropey, to raise funds for life-changing guide dog services.
She’s hoping to make Ropey the most valuable dog toy ever!

Every dollar raised helps people living with low vision or blindness to live more independently, confidently, and safely.

Everyone Belongs at School

All children should feel safe, welcome, and included at school.

But right now:

Many children with disability are left out of school activities.

Some are bullied by other students or even teachers.

Some are sent home early or told not to come at all.

This is not okay. It needs to change.

The Disability Royal Commission has made a plan to help:
It’s called the Roadmap to Inclusive Education.
It says that:

Teachers should learn how to include all students.

Schools should make learning safe for everyone.

Governments should listen to children and families.

Every child should be welcome at their local school.

The plan is good. But we need action.
