Genevieve Murphy is currently playing the piano for our residents. Her beautiful live piano performance is filling the Sunroom with warmth and nostalgia. As familiar melodies drift through the space, smiles are spreading and toes are tapping.

Moments like these remind us how powerful music can be - sparking memories, creating connection, and bringing joy to everyone in the room. We’re grateful to have such talented visitors who share their gifts and brighten the days of our residents. Thank you Gen!

We'd like to share some photos that were taken at our annual Resident's Christmas Party earlier this month - it was a fantastic day with good food, great company, and a sneaky little visit from Santa who delivered each of our residents a gift. As the clock ticks down to Christmas Day, we now look forward to continuing the festivities and welcoming family and friends who will be visiting tomorrow. Merry Christmas everyone! 🎅🎁🎄

PAT CELEBRATES 102 YEARS!

On Friday the 21st of November Pat Young celebrated her 102nd birthday. It was a busy day for Pat with visitors, the arrival of floral arrangements, and phone calls from well-wishers. Pat didn’t want a fuss made, but it felt only fitting that this gem of a lady be duly acknowledged and celebrated… she is an inspiration to us all!

EASING YARRIAMBIACK’S AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING SHORTAGE

Council is excited to announce that construction has commenced on our Hopetoun Affordable Home, to be managed by Dunmunkle Lodge.

To date, Council has delivered six out of seven planned homes: two in Murtoa, two in Woomelang, one in Warracknabeal, one in Rupanyup, and one currently under construction in Hopetoun.

Council extends its appreciation to the Victorian State Government for their support, made possible through a $2.8 million Regional Infrastructure Funding grant that enabled the realisation of these housing initiatives.

FUNDING ANNOUNCEMENT 📣📣📣

Dunmunkle Lodge have secured funding from the Department of Health, Disability & Ageing to build four units onsite for much needed staff accommodation!!!

Today we celebrate our wonderful team of staff across all departments including care and nursing, kitchen, cleaning, laundry, maintenance, administration and management. We are fortunate here at Dunmunkle Lodge to have employees who go above and beyond on a daily basis to ensure our residents receive the best care possible. Heigh-ho, heigh-ho, off to the Minyip Primary School we did go! Dressed up as Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, a group of residents joined students and staff as they celebrated Book Week. It was such a fun morning!

For many years this lovely gentleman (Dale Watts) has brightened up the Lodge for Mother's Day with his beautiful homegrown chrysanthemums. The abundance of posies displayed throughout the Lodge is absolutely stunning, bringing smiles to the faces of all - especially our resident and staff mums and mother figures.
