At this stage, swelling has typically reduced significantly and scar maturation remains ongoing. Final contour and tissue settling can continue to refine over time. Recovery timelines, scar evolution, and return to normal activities vary between individuals and follow personalised surgical guidance.
Please be advised that each patient’s results and recovery experience will vary. Specific outcomes are not guaranteed. All surgical procedures carry risks. We encourage consultation with your regular GP and a Qualified Specialist Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon before considering surgery.
Abdominoplasty is a surgical procedure that removes excess abdominal skin and may involve tightening of the abdominal wall where appropriate. Some individuals explore this option following significant weight change, pregnancy, or concerns related to skin laxity. Suitability depends on individual anatomy, health status, expectations, and personal circumstances. In some cases, alternative options, including non-surgical management or no intervention, may be more appropriate.
All surgery carries risks. These may include bleeding, infection, scarring, delayed wound healing, fluid collections, contour irregularities, asymmetry, changes in skin sensation, blood clots, and the possibility of revision surgery. Outcomes and recovery vary between individuals.
