🎉 We are so excited to announce the results of our Giving Tuesday Appeal. In an amazing show of generosity, our wonderful community came together to raise $15,803 which will purchase two hospital beds with air alternating mattresses for those who cannot afford to hire them.

Your support helps bring dignity, comfort, and peace of mind to both clients and their families. These specialised beds allow clients to remain in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by loved ones, at their end of life journey.

It also plays an important role in supporting our staff, enabling them to care for and move clients safely while delivering high quality, compassionate care.

💗 Every donation—no matter the size—contributed to this shared outcome. Whether you donated, shared the appeal, or encouraged others to get involved, your support has helped turn kindness into practical, life changing support.

Thank you for making a meaningful difference to our clients, their families, and our staff.

Today Louise Brown (Philanthropy & Communications Manager) and Adele Braun (Community Engagement Lead) had the pleasure of meeting with Shima Ibuki, Deputy Mayor of the City of Boroondara, and Fiona Brown, Manager Community Planning & Development.

It was a fantastic opportunity to talk about the essential work Eastern Palliative Care does in supporting individuals and families across the Boroondara community. 🫶

We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect and look forward to supporting one another and our communities through future joint initiatives. Partnerships like these help strengthen compassionate care where it matters most.

Thank you for the warm and positive conversation — we’re excited about what we can achieve together. 🤝

It is a privilege to provide comfort and care during someone's end of life journey. We are honoured to be part of our clients', and their families' lives, during their most vulnerable moments, helping to make their last days, months, or even years, as comfortable as possible. Sadly, not everyone has access to home based palliative care and two carers, Karen and Robyn, kindly and courageously shared their stories with us.

Robyn was eligible for EPC’s services, but Karen was not as her home location was out of our service area. EPC's compassionate care makes a significant difference to the client and carer experience, with clients often remaining at home with their loved ones and carers feeling fully supported. You can read their touching stories here https://www.epcvic.org.au/news/compare-the-pair-two-carer-stories_117s213

If you would like to help us provide comfort and care to families just like Robyn's, please go to https://www.epcvic.org.au/donate.
