🌕🥮 Happy Mid-Autumn Festival from Prime Garden! 🌸🎑

Today our residents gathered to celebrate one of Asia’s most beautiful traditions — the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival. 🌍✨
It’s a time to appreciate the full moon 🌝, share mooncakes 🍵🥮, give gifts 🎁, and enjoy family reunion 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 and togetherness 💞.

At Prime Garden, residents from different countries 🌏 joined to explore the festival’s rich history 📜, legends 🌕🐇, and customs 🏮.
We watched cultural stories, listened to the classic song , inspired by the poem “Though thousands of miles apart, we share the same moon.” 🎶💫
Everyone sang along, laughed, and enjoyed the beautiful flowers 🌸, glowing lanterns 🏮, and the delicious aroma of freshly cut mooncakes 🥮 and festive sweets 🍰 filling the air. 💐✨

🏃‍♂️ Sydney Marathon was not just a race — it was a celebration of resilience, community, and milestones achieved.
🌏 This year carried special meaning:
👉 Sydney is on the path to becoming the 7th World Marathon Major, joining New York, Boston, Tokyo, and more.
💚 We are proud that our Directors, Dennis & Winston, stood at the start line — running shoulder to shoulder with thousands from around the world.

✨ Yesterday, we shared a very special lunch with our placement students! ☀️🍴🌸
With sunshine, delicious food, and wonderful company, it was a joyful gathering full of smiles and laughter. 😄💬💚

🙏 We are truly grateful for their time with us. During placement, students not only developed professional skills 💡, but also became part of our residents’ daily lives 🏡 — assisting with dressing 👕, meals 🍲, mobility 🧑‍🦽, activities 🎨, and more to help improve quality of life. 🌿

Along the way, they learned:
🤝 Teamwork
⚡ Handling unexpected situations
🗣️ Strengthening communication skills
💚 Supporting clients with disabilities or extra care needs

🌿 Aged Care Reform Is Coming – Are You Ready for November 2025?
Big changes are coming to Australia’s aged care system. Starting 1 November 2025, the Support at Home program will replace the current Home Care Package (HCP) and Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC).

🛑 Don't risk losing thousands just because you missed the update!

🔍 What’s Changing?
✅ Funding will be released quarterly, not annually
⛔ Unused funds won’t roll over — you can only keep $1,000 or 10% (whichever is greater)
✅ Respite Care remains important — plan ahead to reduce carer stress
✅ Daily living items (like groceries, cleaning, utilities) may now need out-of-pocket contributions, depending on your income/assets
✅ HCP Levels 1–4 will change to 8 bands for more tailored support
✅ Clinical care stays fully funded

💡 New Funding Streams:
Restorative Care – short-term rehab support, up to 12 weeks

End-of-Life Pathway – better palliative care funding

Assistive Tech & Home Mods – separately funded now (won’t drain your main care budget)

📌 If you already have an HCP approved before Sep 2024, the "No Worse Off" guarantee applies—your support won’t be reduced.
