Dear wonderful Yoga Vidans 💛

I have some very special news to share with you… and I’ve been bursting to tell you!

First, thank you for your patience while I’ve been a little “secret squirrel” these past few weeks. Behind the scenes, I’ve been working on something big — something that I truly believe is the next chapter for us.

Our current studio has been such a gift. Ten awesome years in this space, and honestly, our third location has been the sweetest of all in our 18-year journey. So many memories within those walls. But sometimes, even when something has been wonderful, it’s time to gently turn the page.

Here’s how it all unfolded…

Last May/June, when our 10-year lease was coming to an end, I searched for a new home for us. I actually found a fantastic space, but the timing wasn’t right — so I recommitted to another five years where we are.

Then in December, life did that magical thing it sometimes does… the very same space became available again. At the same time, our neighbours ARCOS were looking to expand their engineering company. The pieces began to align.

Since then, I’ve been quietly (and at times cross-eyed, fatigued, and possibly a little unhinged 😂) negotiating a lease transfer to ARCOS and securing our new tenancy. It’s been complex and not quite as seamless as some of our previous moves — but we made it.

And now… it’s happening.

Our final class in our current studio will be **Sunday at 8am with Haley**. I’m so sorry for cancelling the afternoon class — I’ll be in there packing, moving, and making magic happen. Don’t worry… your yoga mats are coming with me!

I’ll be working tirelessly to set up our new home and have it ready for you as soon as possible. There are a few legal and logistical details to tidy up, so my hope (my dream!) is that we’ll hold our first class there next week. My heart’s wish was to align it with the first day of the Year of the Horse on Tuesday — which may be ambitious — but sometimes dreams do come true. Either way, I’m hopeful we’ll be back on our mats late next week. I’ll keep you updated every step of the way.

Yesterday we bid farewell to our resident guru, Kerry 🥺 After 15+ years teaching at Yoga Vida, Kerry is embarking on a journey, deeper into her yoga and other mindful and energetic pursuits. Thanks for so many years of service to our community Kerry. We look forward to our future rendezvous and learning 🥰

Happy New Year!! I hope you had a terrific 2025,,, but if not,, blame it on the Snake. And hold on tight, cos 2026 is gonna be a cracker. Year of the Horse,,, let’s get riding :-)

Whatever your belief systems, one thing is for sure - our bodies love to move. So once the festive shenanigans wane, it’s time to roll out our mats once more.

I reckon we’ll have a bumper January, with lots of newbies to bring to our flock. Let’s make this year one for consistency and turning up. On the mat and in life,,, that’s my goal. I hope you’d like to join me.

Are you interested in taking your Yoga practice into another dimension , one that may take you beyond the purely physical?
Kerry‘s class is to devote most of the time to how it feels to simply breathe and see what happens when we bring intention and attention to a practice.
It’s aim is to bring sensations of well-being into the body and mind but, where it differs from the usual practice of yoga Nidra , at a more conscious level, so you gain some understanding of what you are doing and how it makes you feel.
There is no plan other than to see where it leads and to make space for questions and or observations if that arises.
There will still be a little movement at the beginning but, as most of you attend other classes as well, this offers an opportunity to explore yourself at a deeper and more expansive level. A level where many physical and emotional issues can find resolution.
