What a great privilege it is to witness birth - but also to walk alongside a couple who prepared themselves fully, and were so excited, curious and fully present during labor.
Lauren and Yair - baby Oshers birth was everything it needed to be to enable her beautiful passage into the world . She taught us all patience and the need to tune in to those moments of trust and innate wisdom . What a truly adorable little princess . So much love for you all - Beautful people 🤍🤍.

Hello baby 💕
This sweet little babe kept everyone waiting, watching, and working through the days and nights before making his entrance into the world .
Such strength and determination from his mother to birth on her terms in the way she believed possible .
When she finally had him in her arms the tears were flowing in the birth room . Birth is so amazing always .❤️

Happy new year to all my family, beautiful friends and doula families.

2021 has allowed me the privilege of holding space for, and supporting , so many amazing birthing women and I am continually grateful for this. Bearing witness to new life coming earthside and new families growing is something which takes my breath away each time I see it .
I am so lucky to be doing what I love 💕
May 2022 hold joy and strength, and see everyone’s wishes become reality in whichever form that takes x

I loved everything about supporting this beautiful couple to bring their baby earth side-Everything!

So much education and research, seeking of knowledge and understanding of the birthing process to ensure they were prepared for birth and parenthood.
This little babe was born so beautifully-so peacefully by his mother in the calmest water birth-her strength and determination took my breath away. I am always learning as a doula in every birth that I attend, and feel increasingly humbled to be the person to hold space and bear witness-such a wonderful gift to be given.

Sometimes in birth the hard work is the time spent at home when the surges are slowly building and the time is spent quietly gathering momentum for the journey ahead .
What a beautiful winter night was spent with this gorgeous family as they prepared for the birth of their treasured daughter. During the middle of a lockdown, in the middle of the night, she laboured slowly and steadily watched by her wise and knowing kitten who seemed to have a sixth sense of the events unfolding. The fire, the fairly lights, -so much calm in this scene . Unfortunately with restriction I didn’t get to follow this birth into the hospital setting, but the work that was done at home led forth to an empowered healing birth.

Being able to meet Little Arden Ivy a week later filled me with delight. Hearing her full birth story, I know its not just the active labor that is so important, but the time before when things are only just beginning.

Tonight I was so fortunate to watch the ‘birthtime’ movie with Allison Atkin and Kristin . Such a beautifully documented , emotional journey of the often ‘broken ‘ birthing systems and the power to change and create movement in this space . The women’s stories and births were so raw and wonderfully filmed .
We were also so lucky to have as a guest speaker . As always she gives such passionate and thought provoking dialogue around the birthing world .
If you have a chance to see a screening - take it up . It’s so well worth it

What better way to spend New Year’s Eve than being in a birthing room to welcome a new little human . After such a huge year to feel the impending joy of birth as the year closes is so so special . Was then able to get back to my own family before the chimes of midnight to welcome in the new year - one which I hope for all brings renewed strength and optimism in the days and weeks ahead. Happy New year!
