🤩🎸The Doable Sound Art Project is an Artistic Inclusion initiative funded by the Mornington Peninsula Shire Council and designed by John Edgar from Doable - www.doable.org.au
It is a multi-media music platform that provides rehearsal, recording and performance opportunities for the people we support, in collaboration with local musicians and community groups.
On Friday 5th December as part of the International Day of People with a Disability celebrations, the Sound Art Project hosted a ‘pop-up Installation’ at The Broadway Theatre in Rosebud. Bringing together the people we support, students from Tootgarook Primary and local musicians, the performance was attended by local councillors and community members, and was filmed for an upcoming short documentary. It was also audio recorded by Capel Sound Studios for an upcoming ‘Live at The Broadway’ EP.
Thankyou to all the community stakeholders who support this Project, but most of all, thankyou to the Doable participants/ performers: Roni, Anita, Sally, Kev, Phil, Sandra, Simon and our resident vibe-master, Angela 😊

This International Day of People with Disability - Australia, we’re recognising the importance of inclusion and opportunities for all — and celebrating with a community BBQ at PARC - Peninsula Aquatic Recreation Centre Frankston.

Join us today as Focus hosts a Community BBQ to support initiatives that enrich the lives of the people we work alongside. Funds raised will assist to supplement the cost of activities and resources, including Delta Dogs, Splash of Colour, and other special events.
