High-performing women are often the most depleted. I know this because I’ve lived it — and because I work with women like Angie.

She was a powerhouse, running businesses and managing a franchise network, until breast cancer treatment put her into early menopause. Despite exercise and “healthy eating,” she couldn’t shift the weight or fatigue.

So many women believe menopause means decline. Reactive skin, lower energy, stubborn weight, mood changes — and a sense that this is just how life has to be now.

But Dawn’s story shows a different truth. A postmenopausal woman, she lived with migraines and constipation for decades. She thought it was permanent. These homemade kale chips are the perfect crunchy, savoury snack that’s both nourishing and satisfying. Perfect as a guilt-free afternoon nibble or a healthy replacement for store-bought chips. I find this recipe gives me the crunchiest and tastiest kale chips I've tried yet, so morish, try not to eat them all at once!

Ingredients:
✅ 1 bunch of curly kale
✅ 2 tbsp cold-pressed olive oil
✅ 1 tsp unrefined sea salt

Aging is inevitable. Feeling old? That’s a story we don’t have to accept.

As we move through perimenopause and into menopause, our bodies change. Hormones fluctuate, stress resilience shifts, and our systems need more support to stay balanced.

But this isn’t the end of vitality, it’s a new beginning.
When we nourish ourselves with the right food, sleep, movement, and emotional connection, we age with strength, clarity, and grace.

Daily rituals matter more than ever now. Small choices, consistently made, are what keep us vibrant.

When you care for yourself consistently. not perfectly, but with intention, everything shifts.
You start to hold boundaries with ease. You glow from within. You have the energy to live in alignment with who you truly are.
When you don’t? It shows up as chronic stress, hormonal imbalances, gut issues, and a life that feels more reactive than joyful, especially in midlife.

A few years ago, I hit a wall. Burnout, deep and complete. I kept giving, pushing, ignoring the quiet whispers of my body... until it finally shouted back.

The result? Gut issues, hormone chaos, crushing fatigue. My system was depleted, physically, emotionally, spiritually.

Healing didn’t happen overnight. It took rest, nourishment, boundaries, and a whole lot of grace. But today, I feel calm, clear, and deeply rooted in myself. And I’m fiercely protective of that balance now.

Prioritising your wellbeing isn’t indulgent. It’s life-giving. You don’t need to hit burnout to begin. I encourage you to start now.

People often ask what my wellness routine looks like, and honestly? It’s not about fancy tools or 10-step plans.

These are my non-negotiables:
🌬️ 1–2 minutes of conscious breathing to ground myself
🦵 Legs up the wall to reset my nervous system
😴 A sleep routine that honours my 10pm wind-down
🥾 Daily movement in nature, no devices, just presence
🥗 Whole, unprocessed foods that support my gut, hormones, brain and energy
💆‍♀️ Something nurturing—massage, journaling, silence, or sunlight

These practices keep me centred and resilient. Wellness doesn’t have to be complicated to be powerful.

This is my son Hamish’s go-to snack — whether it’s before training, after school, or post-workout. It’s packed with nourishing ingredients we trust, and best of all, he’s completely ditched the store-bought bars. We know exactly what’s in them, and they’re always in the fridge ready to grab and go.

Ingredients:
✅ 3 cups oats
✅ ½ cup protein powder of choice (vanilla or natural recommended)
✅ ½ cup desiccated coconut
✅ 250g almond butter
✅ 250g cashew butter (or use 500g tahini if nut-free)
✅ 500g organic brown rice syrup
✅ 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
