The Goulburn Valley has welcomed a new name in funeral services with Merritt Funeral Services providing a caring and compassionate approach to families in their time of need. The brand new independently owned and operated business was initiated by local couple Garry and Jody Merritt. Garry and Jody have family connections in the industry and felt a need to offer families in the district the opportunity of having a funeral service in their 280 seat chapel as well as a large adjoining area for refreshments with a liquor licence. Something the Goulburn Valley desperately needed. They welcome everyone to come in and see their premises at Mooroopna and also meet their very experienced staff with over 40 years combined experience in the funeral industry. We look forward to meeting you and hearing from you and answering any questions that you may have regarding funeral planning and arranging funerals.

A livestream of the service will be available from 10.45am, with the service starting at 11am.

A Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of Giuseppe Basile will be offered at Sacred Heart Parish, Tatura, 65 Hogan Street, on Friday 27 March 2026, commencing at 10am.

A Rosary will be recited on Thursday 26 March at Sacred Heart Parish, Tatura, commencing at 6.30pm.
