House Leader Positions Available – Burpengary East & Kippa Ring

We are currently recruiting for two House Leader positions across our SIL/SDA homes located in Burpengary East and Kippa Ring.

The House Leader plays a key role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the household and ensuring high-quality support for participants.

House Leader Duties Include, but not limited to:
• Managing the day-to-day operations of the household
• Coordinating and managing participant appointments
• Communicating with stakeholders, Platinum management, and clinical nurses
• Advocating for participants and supporting their individual needs
• Attending hospital appointments and high-intensity management appointments
• Ensuring all household documentation, support plans, and high-intensity support plans are current and up to date
• Working alongside our clinical nurse to review and update documentation as required
• Training and mentoring new staff within the home
• Participating in on-call duties as required

Day 1 of ‘Peta’s Program’ 🤗

Today, the Harmony & Me group took the time to connect, getting to know both familiar and fresh faces in our community. Stepping out of your comfort zone isn’t always easy, but their confidence, charisma, and honesty were truly inspiring! 🩵

We spent the afternoon together delving into the meaning behind ‘Harmony Week’ (17th - 23rd March).
Participants engaged in group discussions about our country’s multiculturalism and what ‘respect’, ‘inclusivity’, and ‘a sense of belonging’ meant to them in their lives 🩵

(Oh, and we may have convinced our new Program Leader, Nicole, to embrace her crafty side—turns out she has some hidden creative talents after all! 😆)

Meet our Program Leader Nicole 🌸

Hi, my name is Nicole! 🤗

I’ve been a support worker for many years—though my age might give that away!
I’m young at heart, fun-loving, and always up for a good laugh. I may be a terrible singer, but that never stops me from belting out a tune! 🎤

ABBA is my all-time favourite (because I am the Dancing Queen), and I also love country music. You’ll find me cheering loud and proud for the Brisbane Lions, Broncos, and, of course, Queensland in the State of Origin.

I’m adventurous, fiercely loyal, and passionate about group support and respite care. Inclusivity and an individualised approach are at the heart of everything I do, and I always go above and beyond for those around me.
Oh, and I can never say no to a sneaky piece of cake! 🧁

I am beyond excited to be part of the Platinum Family, and cannot wait to meet you all soon!

P.S- Thanks for the bus… we’ll be cruisinggg round the corner real soon… yeehaw 🤠🚎🎵
