My signature program is the Moon Within program which brings women to a point of feeling more positive and relaxed with their bodies ultimately helping them connect with their mind, body and soul, their menstrual cycles and transition into the next phase of their life whether it is pregnancy, motherhood or menopause. Based in Petrie I hold regular group classes or one-on-one sessions using mindfulness tools, yoga, meditation, shiatsu, oriental remedial therapies (cupping, acupressure, gua sha, moxibustion) to treat a variety of life issues. Another day spent at Zen Chi working with wonderful people.

Today I was reminded of the benefits of the therapuetic treatment that I offer. And it has nothing to do with the meridians or myofascial release work or the cupping technique.

While these techniques work at the energetic and physical level, the true work comes with the power that stepping into the therapy room brings. The power of connection. Connecting deeply with yourself, connecting with another human, connecting with the healing power of the Earth and the Universal energy.

Connection is the true power of healing.

Just dropping a few photos from my mindfulness experiences in January.

Sometimes we need to be reminded in subtle ways about the importance making time for mindful meditation. And other times we have to take ourselves off for a class.

I had the opportunity to attend a two day mindfulness meditation course on Calm Abiding at the Buddhist temple Chenrizig in Eudli throughout January.

It was a humbling experience and provided that timely reminder about how making time to pause, breathe and connect. And it starts with just 5 minutes.

Relaxation leds to wellbeing.

It helps us develop awareness for the things that make us unwell. More importantly relaxation trchniques can support us to shed those things that make us unwell without effort.

How?

If we are consistently practicing relaxation, we naturally move away from those things that are making us unwell.

One of my favourite and most relaxing yoga poses is legs up the wall. Not only can it physical benefit the body (reduce swelling in the feet) it is a game changer for your nervous system.

There are some precautions with this one such as being over 3 months pregnant.

There are many reasons why Shiatsu works.

The intentional, constant pressure of shiatsu is perhaps the most simplest to understand. We see it, we feel it and we experience some of the benefits almost immediately.

From relaxing physically, to regulating emotions and releasing unconscious patterns, shiatsu supports us on levels.

I am looking forward to returning to the treatment room in December. It is not only therapuetic for the receiver but highly beneficial for the therapist. I cannot wait to experience the mediative benefits of connecting with that internal energetic sensation that comes from being in the trratment room once more.

Well its official beautiful souls. I am locked in to return treating one on one at Zen Chi. Starting the 3rd December I will have limited availibility on the first Saturday of each month. So far confirmed until March 2026.
