Our Story

Remember when you were that bright-eyed entrepreneur ready to start your own business and change people’s lives?

The one who took a leap of faith away from the security of your day job – or the one standing on that very crevice, not quite willing to let go? And although you feel a strong pull deep down inside, there’s just so much to get your head around, you don’t know how you can make it work?

I know this story all too well, as do all of my clients. And that’s why I do what I do.

I am an administrative specialist who’s in love with spiritual growth and holistic modalities. (think crystals, yoga, readings, meditation, smoothies and all of the elements that nurture us – body, mind and soul). Being a Virgo/Libra cusp, I am also super reliable, great with detail and pedantically balanced when it comes to being organised and practical. Now doesn’t that sound like the kind of person you want on your team!

In case we haven’t met, I’m Anita and I’m The Holistic Virtual Assistant. You can consider me your business bestie, secret cheerleader, personal creative, social-media maven, and behind-the-scenes-systems gal who’s always got your back. My mission is to help healers, teachers and mentors by providing dedicated support for all your administrative needs — social media management, design and content creation, email templates and newsletters, interactive PDFs and workbooks, scheduling and automation, back-end processes, proofreading, calendar scheduling, online events and product launches — you get the idea. Whatever your beautiful business needs, I’m here to help.

I want you to be free to share your innate gifts with the world. I want you to believe in your soul-stirring vision. And I want you to feel excited and 100% supported in making it a reality.

Because the truth is, you don’t need to do this alone.

It really doesn’t matter if you’re just starting up or you’ve been in business for years, having a mountainous To Do Listdoesn’t serve anyone, especially YOU! Even seemingly small jobs can take hours to get your head around, whereas they might take me 30 minutes (in dollar terms, that’s only $A25). And all the while, you free up your time and space to work on what you love to do.

Honoured to be a recipient of various awards and nominations, Anita Kilkenny is a highly-acclaimed administrator, educator and virtual assistant to health and wellness professionals throughout Australia, Bali and the US. She is also President of the Australian Virtual Assistants Association and Social Media Mentor for the newly revamped VA Classroom University. When she’s not working, her time may be spent surfing with her two beautiful sons, indulging her hippie spirit with a road trip to the Central Coast of New South Wales or heading off to Bali for some sun and warmth.

Anita was an active committee member of the Australian Institute of Office Professionals (AIOP) for nearly 10 years, taking on roles such as Finance Officer (3 years), Office Professionals’ Day Breakfast Convenor (3 years) Newsletter Editor (3.5 years), Vice President and Webmaster.

In 2005, Anita was invited to serve on the organising Steering Committee for the Online International Virtual Assistants Conference (OIVAC) to assist with the website and registrations and was also involved in establishing International Virtual Assistant’s Day (and who coined the phrase) which is now celebrated annually on the third Friday of May. Anita served on the committee for 4 Conventions and has been invited back again in 2017.

In 2009/2010, Anita co-organised and co-founded the inaugural Australian Virtual Assistant Conference together with Kathie Thomas from A Clayton’s Secretary along with a wonderful support committee of fellow VAs, which was held on 12 and 13 March that year. The two day event was an amazing success. The subsequent conferences met with the same success and is now a regular event on the VA yearly calendar. The 2017 Conference will be held in Melbourne again after being held in Manly, NSW in 2016. The 2018 Conference will be held in Brisbane.

In 2016 Anita was elected President of the Australan Virtual Assistants Association (AVAA) after serving as Vice President since it’s inception.
