I believe that fitness and wellness go hand in hand and I aim to provide real functional fitness for real life and give the best guidance I can to help you achieve wellness. I has been involved in fitness from a school kid, paid Rugby Union player and coach, Triathlete, Professional Tree climber and now Crossfit and fitness athlete. My qualifications are:

• Australian Institute of Fitness - Cert III in Fitness, Cert IV Personal Trainer, Master Trainer.
• Level One CrossFit Trainer
• Australian Weightlifting Federation - Club Weightlifting/Sports Power Coach
• Evolutio – Level One Injury Prevention & Management Coaches Course
• Australian College of Natural Medicine – Nutrition and Weight Management (C-NWM05)
• Working with Children Card
• Level 2 First Aid

I will discuss your needs and goals and organize a personal training program or you can join in on the group classes.

It took a lot to get me to the bottom of that hill knowing how hard it would be to turn and go back up.

This session uses physical load, intensity, and conscious breath to bring you back into sensation — where tension, emotion, and held energy actually live.

You’ll be asked to push.

Not achieving a total amount of 60min on your feet in a day is high risk. And that is still very far from optimal.

Our modern world is making this more and more of a reality.

This is happening and it’s scary to me.

You don’t have to run out and immediately join a gym or class of some sort. You just need to get more active in your day. Then join a gym.

Surely if we enter into an activity that requires the best of us and more, more than we thought possible, if we have full confidence in our own ability to bring ourselves out of it, to take back control and fully recover promptly, we would have to confidence to perform the activity/task as required.

Learn to recover, to take back control and therefore be in control.

Breathwork is essential for life and movement. Not just a heap of woo woo hippy s**t.

GorillaFit

I work in fitness because I find Strength, Fitness and Movement fascinating.

I coach because I love to watch people learn how to move, discover how to make the connection between mind and muscle creating movement. I love to see people make progress that they never thought possible.

I’ve always been active. I played all the sports at school in England. I mostly loved Rugby Union and Swimming. Representing various levels at both. I then went on to pursue a career in Tree Climbing as an Arborist. All the while dealing with a life time of back issues. As I got older the ‘issues’ began to get worse and more frequent. Throughout this time I was an active gym member, triathlete, runner and eventually CrossFit and Olympic Lifting competitor. I focus on teaching correct movement, mind muscle connections, injury prevention and mindset. I love hearing how clients gym work positively affects their lives. I also coach clients for local competitive events, making sure they are ready for the event fitness wise but also mentally.
