The Parkside Foundation We provide a range of services for carers, people with disabilities and older people living in South These services are offered in a variety of settings.

The Parkside Foundation offers a range of services to meet the needs of people with disabilities and older members of the community and their carers and families. Our Community Access service provides a wide range of flexible leisure and recreational services for people with intellectual disabilities in the greater Hobart area. Our services for carers include specific respite for carers of younger people, and for carers of older people with dementia and challenging behaviours and assistance for carers who work.

Community/In-Home Support Worker – Aged Care

Are you a qualified carer with a passion for supporting the elderly to maintain optimal independence and remain living in their own home?

As a Support Worker with Parkside, you will also:

Be an active listener, open to cultural diversity, and have the ability to build rapport with elderly clients and their family;
Be open to undertaking a range of tasks to support elderly clients to optimize their health and wellbeing;
Seek learning and opportunities to increase your knowledge and skills;
Have completed a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent).
You will have, or be prepared to attain:

Current First Aid Certificate;
Current National Police Check;
Tasmanian Driver Licence;
Own vehicle with comprehensive car insurance;
COVID-19 Vaccination and booster.

We are Hiring!!!

Want to join a dynamic team where you can utilise your creative and analytical skills?
The Parkside Foundation are looking for a new Program Officer!
You'll be responsible for researching, developing, implementing and reviewing program activities across a range of locations for Parkside's disability services.
You'll bring to the role, a strong knowledge of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and, have excellent communication and time management skills.
You'll also have a well-developed skill set in the use of office software, including Word and Excel.
Qualifications and/or experience in the human services sector is highly desirable.

Tasmanian Child and Youth Safe Framework

A new Tasmanian Child and Youth Safe Framework has been implemented as a result of the findings and recommendations of the Royal Commission Into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.

Parkside are committed to embedding the key principles of the framework into our organisation, to ensure a safe organisation for children and young people accessing our supports.

Parkside are also committed to upholding the rights of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and acknowledge and respect the cultural diversity of all the people we support.

Parkside will abide by our obligation to report any concerns relating to children and young people to the Reportable Conduct Scheme and be guided by the Independent Regulator.
