Preparing for your consultation

A consultation is an opportunity to discuss your concerns, ask questions, and learn about what options may be appropriate for you.

Some patients like to arrive prepared with notes or questions, while others prefer a more relaxed conversation and let the discussion develop naturally. Both approaches are completely normal.

This carousel shares a few simple tips that can help you feel more confident heading into your appointment.

FAQ: When can I drive after surgery?

The timing for returning to driving after surgery varies depending on the procedure performed and how your recovery is progressing. In general, patients are advised not to drive while they are taking prescription pain medication, while movement is restricted, or until they feel comfortable turning the head and body safely.

Your surgeon will provide guidance specific to your procedure and recovery. When in doubt, it’s always best to check with your surgical team before getting back behind the wheel.

Circumferential Abdominoplasty (360° Abdominoplasty)

A circumferential abdominoplasty is an extended form of tummy tuck surgery that addresses excess skin around the entire midsection, including the abdomen, flanks, hips and lower back.

Unlike a traditional abdominoplasty that focuses on the front of the abdomen, this approach treats the torso in a full 360-degree manner. The procedure allows surgeons to remove excess skin that extends around the body and refine the contour of the waist, hips and lower back.

In our clinic, many patients exploring abdominoplasty procedures are choosing a circumferential approach to address skin laxity more comprehensively.

✨ Let’s Talk About Breast Surgery

Breast surgery can involve a range of procedures depending on anatomy, concerns, and individual goals. Some of the most commonly discussed options in consultation include breast reduction, breast lift (mastopexy), breast augmentation, and combined lift with augmentation.

• Breast Reduction – A procedure that reduces the size and weight of the breasts by removing excess breast tissue and skin. This is often considered by patients experiencing discomfort such as neck, shoulder, or back strain related to breast size.

• Breast Lift (Mastopexy) – A procedure that repositions the breast and ni**le on the chest wall and removes excess skin to address changes in breast position.

• Breast Augmentation – A procedure that increases breast volume using implants.

• Breast Lift with Augmentation – A combined procedure that lifts the breast while also increasing volume using implants.

A consultation allows time to assess your anatomy, discuss what each procedure involves, and explore which options may be appropriate for you.

Lip Lift

A lip lift is a surgical procedure that shortens the distance between the nose and the upper lip. This area, sometimes called the “white lip”, naturally lengthens with age.

During the procedure, a small amount of skin is removed beneath the nose, allowing the upper lip to sit slightly higher. This can improve the overall proportions of the lower face and enhance the natural shape of the lip.

By adjusting this distance, a lip lift can also increase the visibility of the upper teeth when the mouth is relaxed and help define the Cupid’s bow.

Rather than adding volume, the procedure focuses on structural balance and proportion within the face.

🏆 The “Always Wearing SPF” Award

In a clinic where skin health is taken seriously, there’s always someone leading the way. Today’s (very official) award goes to Madia who never skips sunscreen — rain, shine, summer or winter.

Because if there’s one thing our team agrees on, it’s that SPF is non-negotiable. ☀️

Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery)

Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure that removes excess skin from the upper eyelids or addresses fat and tissue changes around the eye area.

Many patients consider this procedure when excess eyelid skin begins to feel heavy or affects the natural contour of the eyelid. In some cases, the additional skin can also impact peripheral vision.

For many patients, the goal is not to change the shape of the eyes, but to restore the eyelid structure they previously had and relieve the sensation of heaviness around the eyes.

Blepharoplasty can address both appearance and function, helping reduce excess eyelid skin while restoring the natural eyelid crease.

In consultations, patients often arrive with questions about specific procedures they’ve heard about or researched. Some of the most common discussions in our clinic currently include blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), lip lift procedures, and circumferential abdominoplasty.

Each of these procedures addresses different anatomical concerns, from eyelid heaviness to lip proportions to excess skin around the midsection.

If you’re exploring surgical options, a consultation allows time to discuss your anatomy, medical history, and goals so you can make informed decisions about what may be appropriate for you.
