FAQ: Do I need someone with me after surgery?

After most surgical procedures, having a support person to accompany you on the day, drive you home afterwards, and assist during the early recovery period is essential. This support helps ensure safety, comfort, and peace of mind as you begin the healing process. Also, depending on the type of anaesthetic required for your surgery, you may not be allowed to drive after your procedure.

Dr Jeremy Wilson is a highly experienced Cosmetic & Reconstructive Surgeon in Melbourne, specialising in face, body, skin and breast surgery. Dr Wilson performs and internationally educates in facial surgeries such as facelifts, brow surgery and eye surgery.

Dr Wilson is a member of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) and a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), the only statutory recognised body for the training of Plastic Surgeons in Australia. Dr Wilson holds an Honorary Appointment as a Clinical Senior Lecturer within the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Health Sciences at the University of Melbourne and is is heavily involved in microsurgery and aesthetic facial reconstructive surgery at both the Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Peter MacCallum Hospital in Melbourne. Dr Wilson is also a Dissection Faculty Tutor for the prestigious Melbourne Advanced Facial Anatomy Course ( MAFAC ) which teaches facial anatomy and cutting edge facelifting techniques to Plastic Surgeons from around the world.
