As we move through this quieter Easter period, we’ve been taking a moment to pause and reflect.

Recently, we gathered with many of the people who have helped shape Candour’s first year. To build something with care, courage, and intention requires more than an idea — it asks for trust, generosity, encouragement, and the steady support of a community.

In the fullness of day to day work, reflection can so easily be set aside. This evening reminded us of the value in stopping, looking back, and properly acknowledging the people who have walked alongside us.

It was a chance to honour that support, and to reflect on the kind of funeral care we are continuing to build — thoughtful, transparent, deeply personal, and grounded in genuine human connection.

As we head into the festive season, we’ve taken a moment to pause and reflect on Candour’s first full year.

It’s been a year of learning, community, courage, and deep privilege — walking alongside families at some of life’s most difficult moments, while building something we truly believe in.

We’re proud of what we’ve created, grateful for the families who’ve trusted us, and thankful for everyone who’s been part of this journey so far.

As the festive season arrives, we’re pausing to reflect on our first full year of Candour — to acknowledge what’s unfolded, honour those we’ve lost, and thank the community who has helped shape this new era of funeral care.

Today’s Candour Connects Christmas Wreath Workshop with the lovely Debbie filled our space with laughter, creativity and connection. 🎄

From choosing colours to sharing stories, every wreath was beautifully personal - and every person left with something they’d made (and maybe a new friend, too).

Huge thanks to everyone who came along and made it such a joyful morning. 💛
