🌟 Op Shop Tour Group – Monthly Day Out! 🌟

When: First Saturday of every month
Who: NDIS participants who love a good browse and a bargain
Cost: No out-of-pocket fees — only pay for what you choose to buy
Transport: Door-to-door pick-up and drop-off in the Reach bus

Join our Op Shop expert Katie for a fun day exploring some of Gippsland’s best op shops. Each month we’ll visit a different town, hunt for hidden gems, enjoy great company, and build friendships along the way.

What to Expect:
Visit a variety of op shops across the region
Explore a new Gippsland town each month
Relax with transport provided in the Reach bus
Meet like-minded bargain hunters and enjoy a social day out

📣 Welcome Lisa to our Support Coordination team. Lisa brings a compassionate, person-centred approach and is committed to empowering participants to achieve their goals with confidence and clarity. She values building strong relationships, ensuring individuals feel supported, heard, and guided every step of the way.

Interests:
I enjoy a wide range of music, particularly pop and 80s/90s classics. Outside of work, I love camping, fishing, singing, and cooking — I’m often baking cakes and slices or doing meal prep. I previously played dodgeball and volleyball, and I’ve recently started getting back into sport by having the occasional hit on the tennis court.

I am currently learning Māori and teaching tamariki about our culture through waiata and activities, which has been incredibly rewarding.

I also share my life with my Great Dane, Mana — his name means power/respect in Māori. He is 20 months old, a very big boy with no spatial awareness, and is convinced he’s a lap dog. On a personal note, I am getting married at the end of January to my beautiful partner, Craig. We are blending both Scottish and Māori culture into our ceremony and reception, which will take place on a hilltop overlooking Wilsons Prom/Inverloch and the surrounding mountains.

🎄 Looking for a little extra support this Christmas?

Morwell Neighbourhood House are offering Christmas Support Bags for Latrobe Valley residents. Registration is in-person ONLY and closes 11th December.

Bags are available for families, singles and couples, with priority given to service users. If demand is high, a random draw will take place.

🌟 Registration Opens: Monday 1st December 2025
🚫 Registration Closes: Thursday 11th December 2025
📍 Where to Register: In-person at the House only.

⚠️ Please note: No registrations will be accepted via phone, email, or Facebook.

🩵 Priority will be given to our service users and house participants.

✨ Food bags are available for families, singles, and couples and is only available for residents of the Latrobe Valley .

🤞 If demand exceeds supply, recipients will be selected through a random draw.

📅 Notification Calls: Successful recipients will be contacted on Friday 12th and Monday 15th December.

🎁 Pick-Up Day: Wednesday 17th December, during your assigned time slots.

❗Unclaimed hampers will be passed on to those next in line.

Their courage, dedication, and resilience continue to inspire us every day. We feel deeply grateful for their service and for the peace and opportunities their sacrifices have made possible.
