These photos show the before and after result of an upper ear reduction performed 6 weeks previously under local anaesthetic. You can still see the fine red line at the site of the beautifully healed incision- this will fade over the next few weeks.

This procedure is technically known as a scaphoid fossa reduction, and I use it when the upper part of the ear is disproportionately larger than the rest of the ear.

Blepharoplasty not only removes excess upper eyelid skin but can also be used to improved symmetry when there is more skin on one side.
This patient is seen at 6 weeks- the scar is still a little red and will continue to fade over the next few weeks as the swelling also goes down more.

This young male patient came to see me as he did not like his ear lobes which were a bit long and pointed.

❓do you always get a breast lift when you have a breast reduction?
✅yes! Part of the breast reduction is lifting the breast to its original position on the chest. This means less for the bra to support which also helps with reducing neck and shoulders pain. Have a look at where the freckles are on this patient in the before and after photos to see how much lift there is.

This 20 year old patient had undergone an otoplasty to correct her ear prominence and asymmetry. Reducing ear prominence removes the distraction of the observers eyes and allows us to just focus more on the face. In some cases it almost looks like the facial shape has changed.

We have learnt a lot about the wine, food and culture of this beautiful part of the world.

This 53 year old patient is shown 6 weeks after an upper blepharoplasty.

I have removed the skin which was interfering with her vision and we are now able to see her eyelids again which gives the eyes a much more open and youthful appearance.

Correction of prominent ears is one of the surgeries I am most passionate about. I love seeing the change it can make in young patients who seem to find an inner confidence once we can change things that concern them and cause others to comment.

Prominent ears really can change the shape of one’s face as you see from this photo. Setting them back to a natural position stops the eyes from being distracted when you are focusing on someone’s face when you talk to them.

This 59 year old is seen 6 weeks after I performed an upper blepharoplasty. Note the eyelid asymmetry which is improved and the skin that was over the lashes and restricting vision.

This 22 year old patient underwent a breast reduction a year ago. Things to note:
✅scars faded nicely
✅improvement in asymmetry- I removed more tissue from her left breast
✅the breast lift you also get has improved her visible torso length
✅breast volume is now in good proportion to the rest of her body
