✨This Week: Cultivating Gratitude - A Restorative Yin & Breathwork Practice✨

After weeks of challenging ourselves in our flow classes, it’s time to pause, rest, and restore. As we head into the festive season (let’s be honest—the “silly season”!), we’re dedicating this week’s practice to cultivating gratitude as a tool to navigate the busier, more demanding moments ahead.

Join Sally for a gentle Yin yoga & breathwork class designed to calm the nervous system, open the heart, and create space for thankfulness—not just for the easy moments, but for the lessons found in life’s challenges too. Through sustained, restorative poses and intentional breathing, we’ll practice noticing what sustains us, what holds us, and what’s already here.

Sometimes the greatest strength comes not from pushing harder, but from softening enough to receive. This week, we rest, we breathe, and we remember that gratitude is a practice—one that can carry us through even the “silliest” of seasons.

All levels welcome. Bring a bolster, cushion, blank or large towel, an open heart and a smile 😃🙏✨

🌊 This Week’s Theme: Ujjayi Breath - The Victorious Breath 🌊

Join me this week as we explore the ancient practice of Ujjayi pranayama - the ocean-sounding breath that transforms our yoga practice from the inside out.

Ujjayi means “to become victorious” or “to gain mastery” - but this isn’t about conquering poses. It’s about mastering presence, building internal heat, and staying calm through life’s challenges.

When you can keep your breath smooth and steady in a difficult pose, you can keep your composure in difficult moments off the mat. 🧘‍♀️✨

What to expect:
• Deep focus & concentration
• Internal heat building from within
• A moving meditation guided by breath
• Tools to stay grounded when life gets challenging

No experience with Ujjayi necessary - I’ll guide you through it! All you need to bring is your willingness to listen to your breath and honor what it tells you.

This Week’s Theme: Diwali - The Festival of Lights 🪔✨

This week we celebrate Diwali, the beautiful Festival of Lights that honors the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and hope over despair.

Just as millions of diyas (oil lamps) are lit during this sacred festival, we’ll kindle our own inner light on the mat - that eternal flame of consciousness, compassion, and truth that burns steadily within each of us.

Through movement, breath, and mindfulness, we’ll explore what it means to BE the light rather than simply seek it, and how even the smallest flame can illuminate the darkest spaces.

Join Sally as we practice with the intention of clearing away what dims our radiance and remembering that our light doesn’t diminish when we share it with others. All levels welcome - come as you are and let your inner light shine! 🕉️💫

This week we explore one of yoga’s most profound and practical teachings: abhyasa and vairagya - practice and non-attachment.

These twin pillars, introduced by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras (1.12-1.16), offer us a complete path to steadiness of mind and freedom.

Abhyasa is our consistent, devoted practice - showing up on our mat, in our meditation, in our lives with dedication and loving effort. Vairagya is the art of letting go - releasing our grip on outcomes, expectations, and the fruits of our actions.

Together, they create a beautiful paradox: we must try wholeheartedly while simultaneously releasing our attachment to results. We practice with full commitment, yet hold our efforts lightly, like a lotus flower rooted in mud but untouched by the water.

In our world of endless distractions, Dharana offers us an ancient gift - the ability to gather our scattered awareness and direct it with intention.

🌟 What is Dharana?
From the Sanskrit root “dhr” meaning “to hold,” Dharana is the practice of sustained concentration. It’s where we learn to focus our mental energy like sunlight through a magnifying glass.

💫 What to expect:
• Flowing sequences that cultivate steady attention
• Balance poses that reveal the power of focused awareness
• Breathing & Mantra practices that anchor the wandering mind
• A guided relaxation

This week we’ll discover how single-pointed focus creates stability in both body and mind, preparing us for the deeper states of meditation that follow.
