The HCO Day Options Clients have produced the goods, yet again, at the Mount Barker Show again this year!

Bringing home multiple awards and merits across the arts, crafts and cooking categories, their creativity, dedication and talent were on full display 🎨🏆

A huge congratulations to every client who entered, you’ve done an incredible job! And a big thank you to our amazing support workers, whose encouragement and guidance help make achievements like this possible.

Look what the amazing Clients have created! 👏

This year for the Mount Barker Show we’re proud to have 38 entries from 16 Clients, plus a fantastic group woodwork project created by 3 Clients!

Here’s a snapshot of their incredible work:
🖌️ 11 paintings
🍅 3 homemade tomato sauces (first-time entries!)
🧵 1 hand-sewn piece
🎭 4 paper mâché creations
🪵 5 woodwork items (including a group-built truck!)
🖍️ 14 colouring competition entries

Every single entry represents creativity, effort, and a willingness to try something new.

A huge shoutout to the incredible support workers, who go above and beyond to support the Clients, sharing their skills, encouraging creativity, and helping bring ideas to life. From full-day sauce-making sessions (with homegrown tomatoes generously donated!) to weekly art and woodwork groups, the dedication behind these projects truly shows.

We couldn’t be prouder of everyone involved.

Give Credit is a new major campaign to celebrate the exceptional people and organisations in South Australia’s community service sector.
HCO is supporting this important initiative, as seen on the TV at our Reception area, which is being delivered in partnership between SACOSS and Volunteering SA&NT.
The campaign involves building the world’s longest credit roll which will contain the names and job titles of thousands of staff and volunteers and the organisations they represent.
