It’s Perinatal Mental Health Week this week. Summit Health and the Mount Barker Medicare Mental Health Centre acknowledge the challenges faced in conception, pregnancy and early parenthood. We want expectant and new parents to know, that they are not alone. It’s okay to reach out for support. Find the right support for you and your family at https://www.pmhweek.org.au/
Perinatal Mental Health Week (PMHW) takes place annually in November – a national week to raise awareness, provide information, referral pathway support and de-stigmatise perinatal mental health issues.
The Mount Barker Medicare Mental Health Centre provides free, walk-in mental health support for individuals aged 16 and over who are experiencing distress, crisis, or suicidal thoughts. No Medicare card, appointment or referral needed. Simply walk in and access support.
We are open from 9am to 7pm on Monday to Wednesday, 9am to 9pm Thursday and Friday, and 12pm to 8pm on Saturday, Sunday and public holidays. We are located at Unit 9, 2-4 Cameron Road, Mount Barker. This service is delivered by Summit Health and funded by SA Health and Country SA PHN .
