Mount Barker parkrun

Mount Barker parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am at the Homemaker Centre. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Mount Barker parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am from the Mount Barker Homemaker Centre, approximately 33km east of Adelaide's CBD. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!

Our volunteers make saturday mornings possible, without them we wouldnt have our parkrun’day.

EDIT: Whilst our roster is looking healthy for Saturday, we will never say no to more amazing vollies.

It would be great to have a few more barcode scanners for the day, at least one more dedicated scanner from the start and a few more can be run / scan- lets us know and we can add you to the roster.

We also have multiple opportunities available in the coming weeks. If you’d like to be part of the wonderful community of volunteers, check out our roster via the website:

Only one more sleep until parkrun is back again. That means only one more sleep until your next PB; only one more sleep until you're with your parkrun family again; only one more sleep until you hear the magic words "Ready, Set ..... Go!"

We're looking forward to seeing you all again tomorrow 😊

Do you have a volunteering or participation milestone coming up this weekend? If so send some photos and a brief description through and we'll put them up here and give you a shout out on Saturday Morning.

We also realise it can be a long way between milestones so if you are celebrating an amazing achievement (big number that isn't an official milestone) let us know and we can mention it on Saturday.

You can send it through to mountbarker@parkrun.com and we'll do the rest.
