Mount Barker parkrun

Mount Barker parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am at the Homemaker Centre. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Mount Barker parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am from the Mount Barker Homemaker Centre, approximately 33km east of Adelaide's CBD. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!

7:40am - volunteers arrive
7:45am - first timers welcome
7:54am - Run Directors welcome brief (please be quiet for just a few minutes so everyone can hear)
8:00am - parkrun is go!!

Happy parkrun Eve Everyone!

Tomorrow Robyn Vincent celebrates her 50th Parkrun and is officially volunteering for the very first time!

Robyn has started her parkrun tourist journey across 7 locations and improved her PB by 14 mins. She has been encouraging other members of her family to join her at Parkrun.

Volunteers are the backbone of parkrun no matter where it's held. We have an amazing volunteer spirit at Mt Barker. This Saturday we have a couple of spots we need volunteers for:

BARCODE SCANNER - scanning all the barcodes after people finish - all you need is a phone!

FINISH TOKEN SUPPORT - help with handing out the tokens.

And that's all there is to these two roles. Can you help with one of them? If so, just drop us a message or flick us an email.
