Mount Barker parkrun

Mount Barker parkrun A free, weekly, timed 5k event every Saturday morning at 8am at the Homemaker Centre. Everyone is welcome to walk, run or volunteer.

Mount Barker parkrun is a FREE weekly timed 5km event for runners of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 8am from the Mount Barker Homemaker Centre, approximately 33km east of Adelaide's CBD. parkrun is not a race against other runners, but a 5k timed run and it can really be whatever you want it to be, whether that's for fun or as part of a training plan. It offers an opportunity for all the local community, male or female, young or old, to come together on a regular basis to enjoy the beautiful surrounds and get physically active at the same time. We want to encourage people to jog or
run together irrespective of their ability – this event is truly open to all and best of all it really is FREE!

Hi ,

With increasing numbers there have been a few incidents across Adelaide parkruns resulting from participants not leaving enough space for other members of the public.

Sadly this last weekend, Mt Barker parkrun had a similar incident.

Please remember to keep left along the whole course and make sure you leave lots of space for others out enjoying the wetlands.

We want to ensure parkrun remains a fun and great community event for everyone!

Thank you

Liz “Gran” Hope is doing her 50th parkrun this week!!

Always keen for a walk, Liz saw an opportunity to get involved with parkrun as a way to spend more time with her family.

As it happens for so many of us, that quickly led to discovering parkrun locations while on holidays and ticking off 9 other events along the way.

Her parkrun PB even came about somewhat by accident when visiting Oxford parkrun in England.
Hopefully we can get a few of those family members out there to walk with Gran on her 50th!!

Congratulations Liz- we are looking forward to celebrating with you on Saturday 💜❤️
