Innovative fishing. With Jim Hopkins and Chris Sullivan.

So, here we are at the boat ramp in Redland Bay, just South of Weinam Creek. This is a favourite fishing spot, but has it's challenge of getting the bait far enough out at low tide. It is pretty shallow at times. With some research, I found a simple quick release mechanism for my drone. This video shows me bringing the drone to a hover just about head level. I then take and hook a rubber band to the drone. The other end of the rubber band is attacched to the sinker, hook and bait. We set the reels to peel line out very easily, but with enough tension to keep it attached to the drone. I then took the drone up higher and out to sea! You can't see it well in the video, but I turn the drone around and back up, which pulls the rubber band off and the bait drops. It was difficult to judge how far out the drone was, and to be honest, at least one drop was not much further than I could have cast it, lol. However, the potential is there to get the bait much further out into deeper water. Once the bait was dropped and we are brining the drone back in for a landing, there is a VERY large pelican that does a much too close for comfort fly by. Loads of fun..... and only one small eel to show for the night.

The ideal candidate will have experience in personal cares, showering, toileting, and personal hygiene.
