In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Kidney meridian is associated with our vital essence and our ability to feel safe and grounded, while the Bladder meridian — often referred to as the Guardian of Peace — supports the nervous system and our capacity to release stored tension and emotional holding.

~ Forward bends to stimulate the Bladder meridian and encourage release
~ Gentle backbends and hip openers to awaken and support the Kidney meridian
