Essentially Audrey is committed to helping people with simple natural solutions for their home. We r My name is Angela and Audrey is my lovely, amazing daughter.

She passed away suddenly when she was 18 months old. Through my grief I found essential oils. This journey enabled me to explore the mental health benefits of essential oils. Anxiety, depression, and post traumatic stress disorder is a challenging way of life. I needed all the help I could get. Essential oils gave me a method of self care that I desperately needed. Self care came not only in the form of diffusing and topically applying essential oils but also in confidence that I was bringing the best cleaning products into my house to my family. After the birth of my son, I became extremely vigilant about the chemicals that I was applying to my body and to my home. So I started making my own. However having a PhD in science, I needed to know how essential oils worked and indeed if their was evidence to support that they actually do work. I was converted and became a doTerra Wellness Advocate (you can too here). From there I began making all of my own cleaning products, oil roller blends, and bathroom products. I wanted to share them with everyone. Not only were they free from the nasty chemicals, they smelt delicious. So here I am. This is me, a stay at home Mum with a PhD. Raising my beautifully kind spirited son Oliver, who was hand picked for earth by his big sister Audrey in Heaven. Here at Essentially Audrey you will find some of my favourite body care and cleaning recipes and the products used to make them. Alternatively, you can purchase ready made products. It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to close down Essentially Audrey at this time. I may be back in the future, but for now I need to focus on family and my next adventure.

It has been an amazing journey running my own business, meeting many of you at markets and workshops. It has been incredible hearing your stories and helping you find natural alternatives to suit your lifestyle.

Thank-you for all of your support.

Skin, skin glorious skin! Your biggest, yet possibly most damaged organ.

28 days is how long it takes you to get new skin. By the time those tiny skin cells push their way through to the outer layer... they die. Which is why we need to nourish our skin deeply. Ensure those lower younger layers, full of collagen, blood vessels and other vital components are filled with nutrients to make our skin healthy. But it's more than that....

Our skin tells us a lot about other aspects of our health... too much stress and we release hormones that affect our skin.

Too much sun and our skin let's us know its not happy, living in Australia, protection against the sun is so important.

Be kind to your skin. It does more than you think it does.

They say parents get 10 summers with their kids before they start to want to be with their friends and hang out with others. I hope its longer. I want to hold onto my little guy for as many years as I can.

Happy Mother's day to all the mums in my life. To all the mothers that have helped support my business, that have invited some of my products into their homes to make it easier to managed life naturally. Thank-you.

Thank-you to all of the mothers in my support network who also can't hold all of their children in their arms. And despite what some people who have commented on Leah's video on TikToc believe, people who have lost children are still mothers! As someone who has an earth child and a heavenly child, the weight of carrying my heavenly child is often harder and more taxing than my non stop, energy filled, tantrum throwing earth child.

Today, I wish you all the mothers day you need and want. For me, that's filled with the love and kindness of my family. Because everyday I feel lucky to be the mother to both of my beautiful children.

I know I've said this a lot but I know I often need reminding. Self care often does not mean a luxurious day at the spa, rather day to day self care are simple things that you can do to protect yourself from burnout.

Stress is everywhere, literally everywhere! But our bodies respond to stress with the information we feed it. If we don't take time out, learn to say no, take time to breathe, wash our hair, rest, we will eventually burnout. And that, benefits nobody.

The best person to look after you, is you! You need to take charge of your body and the stress that you allow into your life.

I have been wanting to do this for soooo long!!!

The Sunday before mothers day is International Bereaved Mothers Day.

Today we remember the mothers who arms are empty.

Those that have tried and tried but can't get pregnant, those that want children but haven't found the right way to have them, those that have had early miscarriages, late miscarriages, still births. Those that have outlived their child.

I see you. I see your pain. We are a part of a club that we never wanted to join.

I find mothers day incredibly difficult. I need to be happy for my beautiful son but cry for my empty arms where my daughter should be. It's a pain that no mother should ever have to endure.

Be kind to yourself. My inbox is always open if you need to chat or just to unload. Sometimes it's nice to just say "this is crap" to someone who understands.
