WHAT IS HYPNOTHERAPY? Hypnotherapy is a form of therapy in which the therapist guides you towards a state of mental and physical relaxation. It’s a bit like that lovely feeling you get just before you drift off to sleep, or just before you completely wake up It can feel something like daydreaming.
-Hypnotherapy Allows the Conscious Mind to Rest-
When you are in a hypnotic state, your conscious mind can take a break from what it likes to do best – that is, think, analyse, work things out, remember, plan and sometimes just chatter, chatter, chatter. Once your conscious mind is out of the way, your subconscious mind can be accessed. It is the subconscious mind that hypnotherapy speaks to. The subconscious mind is a deep well of information, and when it’s accessed, profound changes can take place. So if you have unhealthy or unhelpful habits, negative thought patterns, or a traumatic past experience, the subconscious is where they are housed, which is why it’s difficult to change or overcome things using the conscious mind. So by accessing the subconscious mind directly, new positive and productive thoughts; beliefs & behaviours can now make a huge difference to your life.

-The Hypnotic State-
The hypnotic state is a normal state of mind. In fact, you may even have had an experience of being in a hypnotic state without even knowing it. Have you ever walked home and on putting the key into the door, wondered how you got there – that you didn’t remember crossing the busy intersection or walking past familiar sites? Or drifted off to “another place” while at a lecture or a meeting? These are all instances of being in a hypnotic state. The Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapists says that all hypnosis is “self hypnosis” Our bodies experience what are known as ultradian rhythms, which are cycles or periods that are repeated throughout a 24-hour day. These ultradian rhythms, which are said to occur every 90 to 120 minutes, are the basis of a common, everyday trance or hypnotic state. What usually happens - for instance if you are at work – is that you’ll find your concentration flagging and you may find yourself daydreaming or just taking a break. These are natural and normal breaks in our day. In a sense, hypnosis makes use of these natural lapses in activity by harnessing the subconscious mind to reprogram emotional attitudes and reactions. It’s almost as if the therapist is a facilitator in your healing, as your mind is being guided towards healthy habits and thought patterns. VIRTUAL GASTRIC BAND HYPNOSIS PROGRAM

Gayle Dwyer, a Clinical Hypnotherapist, is now offering the world renowned Virtual Gastric Band Therapy. A successful weight loss program pioneered in the UK. The system utilises the concept of a “virtual” gastric band and clinical hypnotherapy. The Virtual Gastric Band is a remarkable weight loss programme, and one which Sheila Granger has pioneered in the UK.It successfully harnesses the power that every individual holds within them to make changes to their lives. Many clients have benefited from my Virtual Gastric Band therapy. It is most definitely NOT a diet - we know that diets only work in the short term. The Virtual Gastric Band allows you to eat what you want, but will enable you to intake smaller portions. About the treatment:
The treatments are one session per week for a four week period. The participant’s subconscious mind believes that they have undergone bariatric surgery in the first session to reduce the stomach to the size of a small pouch. This is followed by three further sessions which deal with the psychological triggers that allow a person to over eat. Feedback shows that the hypnotherapy is like ‘flicking a switch in the brain’, turning off cravings and eating only until satisfied. Gayle is already having great success with the program and is very excited about being able to help clients to lose weight in this way. There is nothing magical or mystical about hypnotherapy, instead it is a method that enables a person to help themselves. EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE (EFT or TAPPING)

EFT is a safe and gentle tapping technique that uses a
combination of acupressure points on the body. Tapping
on these acupressure points, whilst focussing on a
particular thought, can provide relief to stress and anxiety
within minutes. Your body can return to a healthy physical
and emotional state. Continued use can produce profound
changes in your life. You can literally try it on anything,
without doing any harm. It is a simple technique that is
extremely effective for not only adults, but for teenagers

Sunday is for Softening.

Not fixing.
Not striving.
Not catching up.

Softening...

We carry so much tension without even realising it — in our shoulders, our jaw, our breath… in the way we brace for what might happen next.

Tension becomes a habit.
A way of moving through the world slightly guarded. Slightly contracted.

But today is an invitation to loosen your grip.

To soften your thoughts.
To soften your body.
To soften your expectations of yourself.

You don’t need to hold onto everything.

You can release what feels heavy.
Let go of what drains your energy.
Put down what was never truly yours to carry.
Exhale the stories that keep you tight.

Softening isn’t weakness.
It’s nervous system safety.
It’s presence.
It’s strength without force.

On a Sunday, when the world moves a little slower, you have a beautiful opportunity to:

Have you been on a holiday and you'd love to go back and re live those peaceful moments? Well you can, your subconscious mind d doesn't know the difference between real and imagined.
So....
Close your eyes...
Take some slow gentle, long breaths...
Settle into the moment
Allow yourself to soften
Blow out as much air from your lungs as you can, slowly, then gently breath in again...
Take your mind back to that place...
Notice the details, the colours, textures...
Feel the air on your skin...
What sounds can you hear?
Notice any smells...
Imagine you are there right now
Be there, enjoy it, take it in, bathe in it.

Your body is now responding as though you are there!
