We all hear about polarised sunglasses… but do you know what that actually means? 😎
Polarised lenses are designed to block horizontal glare (the harsh light that reflects off roads, water and sand), while still letting the useful light through so you can see clearly.
A simple way to picture it is like vertical blinds. The blinds only let light through in one direction and block the glare coming from the wrong angle.
In this video, we’re holding a polarised lens in front of a special image. You can only see the colours properly once the glare is filtered out. A great little demo of what polarisation really does!
