What a brilliant few weeks it’s been in the Dream to Create community! 🌟

We’ve packed our days with moments that build confidence, connection, and new skills — all while having a whole lot of fun together.

🎉 a few birthday celebrations that brought everyone together
🚐 Adventures to local attractions, exploring what makes our region special
🎨 Creative arts and crafts, where imaginations ran wild and new skills were discovered
🌿 A thriving veggie garden, giving our participants hands‑on experience in growing, nurturing, and harvesting
☀️ Beautiful weather, perfect for getting out, being active, and enjoying the outdoors as a group

Every activity has been a chance for our participants to learn, grow, and shine — and seeing their confidence and independence blossom has been the best part of all.

Here’s to more shared moments, more skill‑building, and more community joy. 💛

🌏💛 Let’s get behind our dedicated Manager Sharyn and her husband Geoff! 💛🌏

They’re about to head off on an incredible volunteer adventure with Cosi’s Cows for Cambodia — an SA charity changing lives in the most practical, empowering way. This isn’t a handout… it’s a hand‑up.

The program works like a “cow bank”:
🐄 A pregnant cow is loaned to a family
🐮 The family keeps the calf
🐄 The cow returns to help the next family
One cow. Endless impact.

As part of their volunteer experience, Sharyn and Geoff are also raising funds to support this life‑changing program — and this is where our community can make a real difference. Every donation (over $2 and tax deductible!) helps push the project toward its huge goal of 1,000 cows.

While in Cambodia they’ll be:
🍚 Cooking meals for local school kids
🏠 Helping build a home
🤝 Connecting with families
✨ And representing our community with heart

Let’s show them some serious support.

Wishing everyone a relaxed and joyful Australia Day. A chance to appreciate the beautiful place we call home, enjoy good company, and celebrate the everyday moments that make our communities special. 🇦🇺

January has absolutely zoomed by 🚀 We’ve soaked up the sunshine ☀️ and given our gardens a fresh new glow 🌿✨ Our participants are smashing it at the gym 💪, building skills, maintaining friendships, and just loving life. If this is anything to go by, 2026 is off to an incredible start 🎉💚

*EXTREME HEATWAVE TUESDAY 27TH*
Due to the extreme heat forecast for Tuesday, we will be cancelling all centre‑based supports. The temperature is expected to reach 36 degrees by 9:30am and 44 degrees by 12:30pm. Even with our air conditioners running, this level of heat puts a heavy strain on the local power grid, increasing the risk of outages — and with everyone indoors, the centres can still become very hot very quickly.

We had hoped to offer a half‑day program, but given the conditions it would be unsafe and not in line with our duty of care.

We’re really sorry for the inconvenience — this decision is out of our control, but under our Hot Weather Policy we cannot proceed when extreme temperatures are forecast. Tuesday is expected to reach 45 degrees.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep everyone safe. Please keep yourself safe, cool and hydrated, and have your bushfire plans up to date.

Every year, many resolutions are made… and many are forgotten by the end of the week because they’re simply too big or too unrealistic. For 2026, try setting goals that feel achievable and kind to yourself 🌱

💚 Instead of “I want to lose 20kg,” try “I want to start a healthier lifestyle.”
🚭 Instead of “I will quit smoking,” try “I will gradually reduce how much I smoke.”
✈️ Instead of “I want a holiday around the world,” try “I will start saving towards a holiday.”

As 2025 winds down, we’d like to remind everyone that our last day is Friday, 19th December. We’ll be taking a short break and will be back, refreshed and ready, on Monday, 5th January.

Take this time to recharge your batteries and get set for a cranking 2026 🚀. We can’t wait to see you all in the new year!

✨ We’re excited to share that we’ve now added gym sessions to our wellness program! 💪 Everyone had a fantastic time working hard and supporting each other.

Alongside our regular activities, we’ve been soaking up the sunshine whenever we can ☀️, cooking up healthy lunches 🥗, putting in creative energy on our Parade costumes 🎭, and most importantly, sharing our days with friends and community ❤️.

It’s been a season of fun, fitness, and connection — and we’re loving every moment!

✨ We are so proud to share that we won Best Club or Community Organisation at the Mt Gambier Christmas Parade! 🎉

This was such an unexpected and wonderful surprise. A huge thank you to everyone involved for your incredible hard work. Our participants were the heart of our float and looked absolutely amazing, and our staff are simply outstanding — we’re so lucky to have such a great bunch of people.

👏 Congratulations to everyone — this achievement belongs to you all!

✨ What a brilliant day at the Mt Gambier Christmas Parade! ✨

We had such a great time with our Jumanji Jungle Christmas float. A huge shout‑out to our fabulous staff who worked tirelessly with participants on their wonderful costumes — they looked absolutely amazing!

Thank you to our dedicated team members who volunteered their time to assist with the float today. We are truly blessed to have such incredible people on the Dream Team. 💚

We also appreciate the staff from other services who helped our mutual participants join the walk — your support made the day even more special.

And of course, thank you to our wonderful participants for being part of this celebration. Everyone looked fantastic, everyone had fun, and everyone should be very proud of themselves. 🌟
