January has absolutely zoomed by 🚀 We’ve soaked up the sunshine ☀️ and given our gardens a fresh new glow 🌿✨ Our participants are smashing it at the gym 💪, building skills, maintaining friendships, and just loving life. If this is anything to go by, 2026 is off to an incredible start 🎉💚

*EXTREME HEATWAVE TUESDAY 27TH*
Due to the extreme heat forecast for Tuesday, we will be cancelling all centre‑based supports. The temperature is expected to reach 36 degrees by 9:30am and 44 degrees by 12:30pm. Even with our air conditioners running, this level of heat puts a heavy strain on the local power grid, increasing the risk of outages — and with everyone indoors, the centres can still become very hot very quickly.

We had hoped to offer a half‑day program, but given the conditions it would be unsafe and not in line with our duty of care.

We’re really sorry for the inconvenience — this decision is out of our control, but under our Hot Weather Policy we cannot proceed when extreme temperatures are forecast. Tuesday is expected to reach 45 degrees.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us keep everyone safe. Please keep yourself safe, cool and hydrated, and have your bushfire plans up to date.

Our wonderful team leader, Codie, and her family have welcomed a brand‑new little legend into the world — baby Leo! 🦁💛

We’re all sending huge congratulations their way as they settle into life with their tiny new boss. May their days be filled with cuddles, coffee, and just enough sleep to stay sane 😂☕

Every year, many resolutions are made… and many are forgotten by the end of the week because they’re simply too big or too unrealistic. For 2026, try setting goals that feel achievable and kind to yourself 🌱

💚 Instead of “I want to lose 20kg,” try “I want to start a healthier lifestyle.”
🚭 Instead of “I will quit smoking,” try “I will gradually reduce how much I smoke.”
✈️ Instead of “I want a holiday around the world,” try “I will start saving towards a holiday.”

✨ End of Year Update ✨
As 2025 winds down, we’d like to remind everyone that our last day is Friday, 19th December. We’ll be taking a short break and will be back, refreshed and ready, on Monday, 5th January.

Take this time to recharge your batteries and get set for a cranking 2026 🚀. We can’t wait to see you all in the new year!

✨ We’re excited to share that we’ve now added gym sessions to our wellness program! 💪 Everyone had a fantastic time working hard and supporting each other.

Alongside our regular activities, we’ve been soaking up the sunshine whenever we can ☀️, cooking up healthy lunches 🥗, putting in creative energy on our Parade costumes 🎭, and most importantly, sharing our days with friends and community ❤️.

It’s been a season of fun, fitness, and connection — and we’re loving every moment!

✨ We are so proud to share that we won Best Club or Community Organisation at the Mt Gambier Christmas Parade! 🎉

This was such an unexpected and wonderful surprise. A huge thank you to everyone involved for your incredible hard work. Our participants were the heart of our float and looked absolutely amazing, and our staff are simply outstanding — we’re so lucky to have such a great bunch of people.

👏 Congratulations to everyone — this achievement belongs to you all!

✨ What a brilliant day at the Mt Gambier Christmas Parade! ✨

We had such a great time with our Jumanji Jungle Christmas float. A huge shout‑out to our fabulous staff who worked tirelessly with participants on their wonderful costumes — they looked absolutely amazing!

Thank you to our dedicated team members who volunteered their time to assist with the float today. We are truly blessed to have such incredible people on the Dream Team. 💚

We also appreciate the staff from other services who helped our mutual participants join the walk — your support made the day even more special.

And of course, thank you to our wonderful participants for being part of this celebration. Everyone looked fantastic, everyone had fun, and everyone should be very proud of themselves. 🌟
