Today we celebrated Jorjia's last day of placement. ⭐️ It has been an absolute pleasure to host and oversee Jorjia during her final roster of placement.

Moments like these remind me of why I pour my heart and soul into teaching and clinical education. Supporting and shaping the journey of future clinicians is a privilege, and seeing their growth fills me with pride. Thank you for your beautiful words and feedback.

Our team would like to wish Jorjia every success as she steps forward into her career; she will make such a wonderful clinician. 😊🌷

Today we were so privileged to share the Christmas Pageant with some truly amazing families. 🎄✨

Community access is so important, and it was wonderful to see so many smiles and joyful moments. It was especially special to provide a quiet, sensory-safe space for our little people to wave to Santa.

A huge thank you to everyone in our community who respected our signage and helped keep the space clear; your support makes days like this possible. And a big shout-out to Amelie and Jorjia for generously volunteering their time.

We can’t wait to do it all again next year. ❤️

The most magical time of the year is almost here, and our team has created a special resource to help everyone in our community enjoy the pageant day! ✨

We're excited to share our Mount Gambier Christmas Pageant Social Story, a simple guide designed to help children and adults know what to expect on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

This story uses simple language and photos to walk readers through the experience, from arriving at Commercial Street to seeing the amazing floats and even waving to Father Christmas!

Knowing what to expect can help reduce anxiety and ensure a fun, positive experience for everyone in a busy environment. We hope this resource brings joy and confidence to all our community members!

Getting a haircut can be a big deal, especially for some of the children we support. That’s why we LOVE "Big Kids Way" and their empowering video, "Let’s Hear It for Hair!"

Join superhero Zavi Wavy and friends as they take kids (and grown-ups!) through a fun, step-by-step haircut journey using clear language, visuals, and loads of encouragement. It’s all about making haircuts feel safe, predictable, and even… exciting!

🐾 Dog Safety Starts with Understanding! 🐾

Did you know that most dog bites are preventable and often happen because we misread a dog’s body language?

That’s why I’m loving the *I Speak Dog* song! It’s a catchy, kid-friendly way to teach everyone how to recognise when a dog is feeling happy, scared, or needs space. Whether you're a parent, educator, or dog lover, this song is a brilliant tool to help children (and adults!) learn how to interact safely and respectfully with dogs.

💡 Key messages from the song:
- Dogs use their bodies to “talk” and we just need to learn their language!
- A wagging tail doesn’t always mean “I’m friendly”
- Give dogs space when they’re eating, sleeping, or hiding
- Always ask before petting and let the dog choose!

We are proud to share that Lailah has successfully completed placement for her certificate III in Allied Health Assistance as part of her year 12 studies. During her time with us at Communicate Better she bought enthusiasm, dedication, and a genuine passion for supporting our clients.
