2024 💫 A Year of Strength & Expansion

We proudly welcomed Matthew to our Colac team — our trusted Hearing Specialist whose passion for family-centred care aligns perfectly with the ethics and values Sound Audiology was built on. Having someone who genuinely cares about the whole family journey has been such a powerful addition to our clinic.

We also made another exciting move… relocating to 50 Sturt Street — our new full-time home. Now open 5 days a week, we’re able to better serve our community with greater accessibility, consistency, and support.

From team growth to a permanent space, 2024 has been about building strong foundations for the future.

2023 ✨ A Year of Growth

In 2023, we took a leap and began working out of Open Door Health, expanding Sound Audiology into Mount Gambier.

What started as an exciting opportunity quickly became something so much bigger than we ever imagined. The support from the Mount Gambier community was incredible, and demand for our services grew faster than we expected.

Before long… we had outgrown the space.

So began the search for a new location — one that could match the growth, the vision, and the future we see for hearing care in this region.

2023 was the year we realised just how much Mount Gambier needed us — and we’re only just getting started. 💙

In 2022, Helen — our much-loved receptionist — joined Sound Audiology.

Helen not only seems to know everyone, but with her background in nursing she quickly became an incredible asset to our Colac team. Her care, patience and understanding of people shines through in everything she does.

She’s also our quiet tech expert — building, troubleshooting and fixing hearing aids behind the scenes — and the friendly voice you hear on the phones, keeping our bookings and days running smoothly.

We truly couldn’t imagine the clinic without her.

2021 was a year we’ll never forget — and not for good reasons.

COVID was in full swing. Lockdown after lockdown. As a young business, it felt like we were constantly in survival mode — physically and mentally. Instead of growing, we were just trying to keep the doors open and hold it all together.

It was stressful, uncertain, and at times overwhelming.

But we kept pushing through. We showed up when we could, adapted when we had to, and refused to let a hard season define our future.

Back in 2019, Sound Audiology was just a dream… but a dream driven by passion, purpose, and heart. 💙

Holly had a vision — to help people hear the world again. To reconnect families, restore confidence, and change lives through better hearing care.

Starting out in a small town where she knew no one wasn’t easy. There were long days, big risks, and plenty of unknowns… but the dream was bigger than the fear. With determination, hard work, and an unwavering drive to make a difference, Sound Audiology was born.

From humble beginnings to the growing, thriving clinic it is today — every patient, every conversation, and every success story has been part of the journey.
