We understand that these are unprecedented times, and with the rising cost of living, particularly fuel prices, getting to and from appointments may be more difficult for some members of our community.

As a reminder, we offer phone consultations for our regular patients (those who have attended the clinic within the past 12 months) for a range of appropriate services, including:

• Standard prescriptions
• Discussing results
• Chronic condition follow ups (e.g. diabetes, asthma, blood pressure)
• Mental health check ins
• Referrals (where appropriate)
• Medical certificates (at GP discretion)
• Other non urgent matters

If you are unsure whether your appointment is suitable for a phone consultation, our reception team will be happy to assist.

If you are experiencing financial hardship at this time, please don’t hesitate to speak with your GP. Having these conversations helps us understand how we can best support you and ensure you continue to receive the care you need.

Advance Care Planning Week 16–22 March 2026

This week is Advance Care Planning Week, a national campaign encouraging Australians to think about what matters most and to plan for their future health care.

The 2026 theme is “Your story, your choice.” It reminds us that every person’s values, beliefs and healthcare preferences are unique. Taking time to talk about and document your wishes helps ensure your voice is heard, even if you can’t speak for yourself one day.

Advance care planning involves:
Thinking about your values and future healthcare preferences
Choosing someone you trust to make decisions on your behalf if needed
Talking with your loved ones and healthcare team
Recording your wishes in an advance care plan or directive

Having these conversations early can give peace of mind to both you and your family.

If you would like to learn more about advance care planning or need help getting started, our friendly Nurse team are happy to have a chat with you.
