This does not indicate that you you need to lessen your goals, it means you need to own them.
Bring them into the light.
Place the amount of attention on them that they stand out, they capture your attention in the brightest times, you associate them with purpose.
When you can sense everything, distractions, noise, colour, everything and your dream still draws your attention, own that.
Stary dreams only get your attention because everything else in that moment is dark.
Are your dreams important enough to you for them to gain attention when distractions are all around?
Distractions that are are used for reasoning of not achieving.
If your dreams are in the stars they will only gain your focus in your darkest times.
Bring your dreams into the light. Tend to them. Let them grow.

Let that sink in.
Stressing about an assignment that is due is a sign that you need to prioritise more time to it.
Stressing about interactions with individuals is a sign that you need to isolate your self from them, or, source the tools to operate in your full capacity in their presence.
Stressing about finances is a sign that you need to balance out your life. Money in v money out. Luxury v necessity.
Stress.......
It is a signal for change. It is what initiates and drives change.
If you ignore the signals, stress will increase (stronger signals), the, if you still ignore the opportunity for change, suffering is likely to follow.
Step up. Become empowered to change in your environment.
Shut up. Set boundaries, not walls. That is a previous post.
Get Out. Change to a different environment.
These are all powerful things.
These will provide response to stress.
These will reduce suffering.
Physical movement. Cognitive behaviour. Spiritual fulfilment. Emotional well-being.
Stress is the signal. Suffering is your ignorance.

Ponder that for a moment.
Excluding actions that are done with the intent of causing discomfort in others, as these aren't likely to be providing happiness to the the person doing it. (This is a whole other conversation)
The question needs to be asked, are they making you uncomfortable, are you uncomfortable because of them, should they change to make you feel better?
Or
Are you making yourself uncomfortable by holding tight to subjective opinions, are you uncomfortable because of you, should you change to make yourself more comfortable?
That is very black and white, very them or you.
Maybe it is neither. Maybe it is who we are in this moment.
Not understanding ourselves enough, or being willing to ask questions in a inquisitive manner.
Where does my subjective opinion stem from?
Why does someone -
- dress a certain way
- wear certain jewellery
- follow a particular religion
- have that career path
- have those behavioural traits
- have a certain hobby
Maybe, we need to be curious, not judgemental.
And, if we are struggling, can we remove ourselves from the situation, with opportunity to reflect later, if we want to see change in ourself.
Can you allow someone to be happy, even if it doesn't align with who you are?

In previous posts I touched on how our nervous system always prioritises Safety. This is far more than a physical statement.
The safety parameters put in place are a combination of learnt experience and projected identification.
Learnt experience: what someone knows based on what they have lived. Your nervous system provides you with more support as it feels you embracing your capabilities.
Projected identification: patterns within you that have been created by someone of influence projecting their beliefs on you. This can be both positive or negative.
What makes people achieve things?
Always believing that they can achieve it.
When you believe you can do something, every challenge along the way is overcome as a process of achieving, and it is seen as that.
No battles, road blocks, walls, justification of why you stopped.
Challenges, big, small, at times taking your full focus.... challenges.
When you believe you can achieve your goal, you will overcome your challenges.
As you find ways to challenge this concept, the times i have witnessed people not achieve include, the goal was never really theirs, the goal is unrealistic (eg. 40 yr old with chronic health conditions wants to be 1st person to fly to mars), or their projected identification is overpowering (typically because the influence still exists)
What is being projected onto you, onto your peers, onto your team, onto your family...... by who.
What are you projecting onto someone else?
Fears, anxieties, sadness, trauma........ or
Positive believe and empowerment.

This stems from a few underlying human traits.
We want to be noticed.
You can either achieve this by doing things that don't a align with everyone around you, you stand out, or be the person helping someone else.
We want to be needed.
Help someone enough, they rely on you. Whether they actually need the help, or are relying on you, is subjective, so long as you feel needed.
Another, more obscure reason, we like to feel, and be seen, to achieve things that others couldn't fathom doing.
Instead of setting amazing goals and displaying the sacrifice and discipline to reach them...... we can get the same emotional stimulation from having poor health while helping others. Thus we hear "you are so inspirational, with all you are going through and still helping someone else."
Yes, at times, I have been as guilty of this as the next person. Always able to justify why my physical, mental, spiritual health is poor and suffering while supporting others.
It is not OK
Oh, I hope you got something from that, sometimes i post stuff as a way of journalling things i need to acknowledge within my self.

Concious movement for improved life, long into the future.
Kata. Tai Chi. Dancing. Swimming.
BOSS Movement (c). Big Often Silent Smooth. The very brief overview.
Big
There is a necessity for a body to move big.  Mobility of a joint is important to allow better efficiency so that their movements are not compromised, and they can align to the right position for muscular activation. Additionally, Big Movements encourage better Blood Flow, Lymphatic Drainage and Nerve Gliding.
Often
Consistency is the key. You will adjust to whatever you do the most. This is an all-encasing statement regarding Physical, Mental and Spiritual well-being.
Silent
Energy cannot be created or destroyed; it is transferred. Sound, being a form of energy, is an indicator for us whether we are doing a movement that is having a negative impact on our physical self. Noise when stepping, sitting down, hitting items to increase likelihood of movement, these have negative impact.
Smooth
When performing a task, the point where the body ceases to provide enough energy to continue is at the stage where nerve endings sense that any further increase in strength will place the body at risk of musculoskeletal injury. When tasks are performed with any jerking / jolting motion the kinetic energy sourced from movement is loaded into the muscles; kind of like a spring – and the more it is pulled, the greater the energy transferred elsewhere, creating musculoskeletal strain.
This is one of the many things we teach.

What are we referring to here?
This is both a reflection of change and the change required to remain.
Are you confused yet.
If you really want to achieve a sustainable change, you need to desire for the outcome to out weight everything, then the many challenges along thd way won't be able to consume you.
If you want to remain, you still need to change. You need to bring your focus into the continual evolution required to be where you are, to continually evaluate and acknowledge what is happening and adapt to embrace where you are and why you love being there, otherwise it can overwhelm you, and leave you with undesirable feelings about it all.
Relationships, Career, Accommodation.
Change is happening, whether is be in regard to achieving something new or maintaining what you love.
Will it be easy? No. Will it be challenging? Yes. Is it worth it? Absolutely.
Change or Suffer, you choose.

Your nervous system always prioritises Safety First.
It will stop your strength well before your true limits.
Muscles, tendons, bones, cognitive processing, critical thinking.
Your parasympathetic and sympathetic systems are keeping you safe, based on the training that you have provided them. Simply put, Sympathetic: Fight or Flight etc, Parasympathetic: Ability to Relax.
Training rewrites the limits. It teaches you what you can handle, physically and psychologically. It reduces the response of 'putting on the breaks'.
Technique is of prime importance. This provides sustained confidence that can develop further and allow you to access deeper layers of power.
As you become more aware of your capabilities, you are rewarded with confidence. This recruits more strengths that you may not have been aware that you had.
All of this results in your brain updating its threat map.
The things that once held you back, are no longer visible on the map.
Physical Training. Psychological Training. Emotional Training. Spiritual Training.
The power is within, when you choose to face it.
