🌟 Expression of Interest: OT Sessions with Horses – Starting Term 3! 🐴🌈
We’re excited to announce that a limited number of Occupational Therapy (OT) sessions with horses will be launching in Term 3!
These unique sessions combine the therapeutic benefits of equine interaction with functional OT goals to support sensory regulation, motor skills, emotional wellbeing, and more – all in a calm, outdoor setting.
✅ Each child will begin with an initial session conducted by a qualified Occupational Therapist to assess their individual needs and set meaningful therapy goals.
✅ Ongoing sessions will be delivered by an Allied Health Assistant with a degree in Equine Science, ensuring safe, purposeful horse-based activities.
✅ All sessions will be professionally overseen by the Occupational Therapist.
Whether your child thrives in nature, loves animals, or is working toward specific developmental goals, this could be a powerful and engaging way to support their growth.
📅 Spots are limited, so we’re currently seeking expressions of interest to help with planning. Sessions will be conducted in Mount Samson. These sessions are available for NDIS participants that are plan managed or self managed, or private clients.

Finally have my website up and running!!!! Call me if you need therapy for your little one! I am happy to do mobile therapy in the home or telehealth appointments.

Mountain View Therapy is a mobile paediatric Occupational Therapy service offering early intervention for children aged 0-8. We focus on collaborating with families to develop individualised programs for children to help them reach their full potential.

This is a very late post! I was very humbled late last year to get this award from OT futures. Having students can be challenging, and last year I helped supervise a mix of eighteen Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology students. I had lovely experiences with all of them and have discovered that one of the benefits of having students is that I learn so much from them as well. Thank you to all of the students I had, it really is a privilege to work with you all!!!

Meet Duck- one of the newest members of our family! Duck and Kevin recently joined us and we are very excited. For me this has been a long time coming and I am hoping in the future, that Duck and Kevin will help with therapy but in the meantime lots of pats for them.

This past week has been OT Week. OT week is a celebration of all things OT but for me it is a reminder of why I love what I do. I get to work with amazing individuals who really care about other people. As an OT, I am invited to share in other peoples lives and then work with them to reach an individuals or families goals. This work is such an unbelievable privilege and it is very humbling. I am so thankful that I am able to work in a job, that I absolutely love!!!!! Thanks to all the other OT's out there who help support each other, and a huge thanks to all the other people who support us!

So glad to see these guidelines released, providing some clarity for health professionals and also individuals living with ADHD.

It has taken two years of clinicians, researchers and people with lived experience collaborating on evidence-based Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) guidelines to get to this point.
