LIFESKILLS PLUS is a local, community based organisation that
has been providing first class disability services for over two
decades in the Mid West Region. We are the foremost provider of
Post School Programs, Out of School Hours Support for students
with disabilities, Respite Care and community education. For students leaving High School, we also have a Transition to
Work service with professional work readiness skills development
programs and our Community Participation Service which has a
range of programs based on personal and social skills
development. All services offered have rewarding outcomes
and provide new exciting choices for People with Disabilities.

🎭 All Abilities Masquerade Ball 2025 💃🕺

Last week, our clients, staff, and guests joined together with Mudgee Disability Services for an unforgettable evening at Club Mudgee and what a night it was!

There were dazzling outfits, creative masquerade masks, plenty of laughter, and lots of dancing as everyone came together to celebrate inclusion, friendship, and community spirit.

Events like this remind us what Lifeskills Plus is all about creating opportunities where everyone feels valued, connected, and free to celebrate who they are.

🌸 Pink Wednesdays at Lifeskills Plus! 🩷

Throughout October, our clients and staff proudly joined the community in supporting Pink Up Mudgee, wearing pink each Wednesday to help raise awareness and celebrate the amazing spirit that brings our region together.

We were also lucky to welcome wonderful volunteers from U3A, who joined us to teach line dancing an activity that had everyone moving, laughing, and smiling from ear to ear!

This was the perfect addition to our Health and Fitness program, promoting movement, social connection, and plenty of fun.

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved and helped make our Wednesdays bright, active, and full of pink pride!

While Melbourne Cup celebrations might be winding down, our clients are gearing up for their own special day with the wonderful horses and volunteers at Riding for the Disabled.

Each Wednesday, our RDA sessions bring so much joy, connection, and confidence and after a week filled with talk of racing and horses, it’s extra special to see our clients enjoying their own time in the saddle!

From smiles in the stables to moments of pure pride, these sessions are all about fun, learning, and building independence through the magic of horses. 🐴

Remember that secret project our clients were busy working on in woodwork?

Well, the secret’s out and it’s too good not to share!

Introducing our very own Lifeskills Plus tree, now proudly displayed on our centre wall, complete with a colourful collection of native Australian birds, all handcrafted by our talented clients.

From painting and cutting to adding feathers and fine details, everyone played a part in bringing this creative vision to life.

It’s a true reflection of teamwork, patience, and creativity in full flight. 🕊️🎨

Wednesdays are always a favourite for our clients, it’s RDA day! 🐴

Each week, our clients spend time with the wonderful team and horses at Riding for the Disabled Mudgee, learning new skills, building confidence, and most importantly, having fun.

A big thank you to the RDA volunteers for the incredible experiences and smiles they help create every week.

Our clients spent the day outdoors taking part in a scavenger hunt and some group ball games, laughter, teamwork, and smiles all around.

Our clients recently spent a wonderful day out at Rosby Wine and Art for Sculptures in the Garden taking in the incredible creativity and culture on display.

From exploring the stunning outdoor sculptures to enjoying the peaceful surroundings, it was a day filled with inspiration, conversation, and appreciation for the local art community.

We’re so lucky to have experiences like this right here in our region, giving our clients the chance to connect with art, nature, and the people who make our community so vibrant. 💛

We have been providing first class disability services for over two decades in the Mid West Region. We pride ourselves on being a leading provider of Personalised Post School Programs, Out of School Hours Support for students with disabilities, Respite Care and Excursions. We offer services in our state of the art community and respite centre in Mudgee, in the community, or in your own home. We have range of goal orientated programs based on personal and social skills development, as well as programs of interest that assist our clients to build their independence and participate in activities of their choice. All services offered have rewarding outcomes, supportive staff, and provide new exciting choices for People with Disabilities.
