What a wonderful morning celebrating together at our annual Easter Hat Parade 💛

Our clients were so proud to welcome their family and friends along to share in the fun, showing off their creative hats before enjoying morning tea, raffles and an Easter egg guessing game.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter and a great sense of community throughout the day.

There is always something to be done around the yard at Lifeskills Plus, and our clients are right there learning every step of the way.

With guidance from our staff, clients are building practical skills like raking leaves, using a push mower and handling a leaf blower safely.

These everyday tasks help build independence, confidence and an understanding of maintaining their environment.

It is all about learning real life skills in a supportive and hands on way.

A big part of our days at Lifeskills Plus is spent out in the garden, caring for the space we have created together.

With the support of our staff, our clients take pride in watering the plants, watching them grow and learning how to care for them each day.

It is a simple task, but one that builds routine, responsibility and a sense of ownership.

Moments like these bring a sense of calm, connection to nature and pride in looking after something together.

Sometimes the simplest ideas bring the biggest smiles 💛

With nothing more than a plastic cup, some string and a ball, our staff and clients created a fun little challenge that quickly turned into a great game.

What looks simple on the surface is actually helping build hand eye coordination, focus and perseverance.

Activities like this remind us that meaningful engagement does not need to be complicated.

It is about creativity, connection and finding joy in everyday moments together.

Often, it is the simple things that make the biggest difference.

Our Auslan Sign of the Week with Zola is back, and this week the word is Eat.

Learning Auslan is a great way for our clients to build communication skills while also having a bit of fun together.

Each week we learn a new word or phrase, helping everyone grow their confidence and understanding of sign language.

We love sharing these moments with you, so you can learn along with us too. Follow along each week as we continue learning Auslan together.
