LIFESKILLS PLUS is a local, community based organisation that
has been providing first class disability services for over two
decades in the Mid West Region. We are the foremost provider of
Post School Programs, Out of School Hours Support for students
with disabilities, Respite Care and community education. For students leaving High School, we also have a Transition to
Work service with professional work readiness skills development
programs and our Community Participation Service which has a
range of programs based on personal and social skills
development. All services offered have rewarding outcomes
and provide new exciting choices for People with Disabilities.

Every day, our clients take part in programs that build confidence, independence, and connection from cooking, woodwork, arts and crafts, and music, to community outings, sport, and supported work opportunities.

We’re proud to create a safe, welcoming space where everyone can learn, grow, and thrive with the support of our dedicated staff.

Today we celebrat International Day of People with Disability, a day that recognises inclusion, understanding, and the incredible contributions of people with disability in our community. 💛

Our clients and staff marked the occasion in true Lifeskills Plus style, enjoying chocolate cake together and taking time to reflect on what makes our community so special.

Every day, we see the strength, creativity, and joy our clients bring to the world, and today was a beautiful reminder of that.

Here’s to celebrating ability, connection, and the importance of an inclusive community.

As we head into the final month of the year, we’ve been taking a moment to look back on some of the wonderful adventures and activities we’ve shared throughout 2025. 💛

Each week, our clients look forward to their sessions with the amazing team and horses at RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) and it’s easy to see why!

Horse riding offers so many wonderful benefits, from improving balance, coordination, and confidence to fostering emotional connection and trust.

It’s an experience that brings smiles, independence, and a true sense of accomplishment to everyone involved.

We’re so grateful to the RDA volunteers who make these sessions possible and for the joy they bring to our clients every week.

A magical night under the lights!

Our clients and staff recently travelled to the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular, and it was truly a night to remember.

Surrounded by over 4 million twinkling lights, incredible displays, and the joyful sounds of Christmas, everyone had an amazing time exploring and taking it all in.

From glowing tunnels and giant trees to festive music and laughter, it was the perfect way to celebrate the season together.

A huge thank you to the team at Hunter Valley Gardens for creating such a magical experience that brought so many smiles to our clients’ faces.

Our clients and staff had a fantastic evening out at Club Mudgee, soaking up the Christmas cheer and snapping plenty of photos with their incredible decorations!

The team at Club Mudgee have truly gone all out this year with the lights, colours, and the holiday spirit were infectious, and everyone couldn’t help but smile.

It’s moments like these sharing laughter, friendship, and festive fun that make this time of year so special.

Our clients have been busy in woodwork lately, creating something truly special for our sensory garden.

With plenty of teamwork, creativity, and care, this beautiful piece has now taken shape and been brought to life with colourful decorations and thoughtful details.

From painting and building to adding those finishing touches, every part has been made with pride.

It’s soon to take up a prime position in our garden, standing tall as a reflection of our clients’ hard work, dedication, and creativity.

A night to remember! 🎭

We’re still smiling after the incredible All Abilities Masquerade Ball held at Club Mudgee last week with our friends from Mudgee Disability Services.

The dance floor was full, the energy was high, and the joy was contagious with everyone showing off their fantastic masks, outfits, and dance moves!

It was more than just a night of fun it was a true celebration of inclusion, community, and connection, bringing people together to share laughter, music, and friendship.

Thank you again to everyone who helped make this event so special.

We have been providing first class disability services for over two decades in the Mid West Region. We pride ourselves on being a leading provider of Personalised Post School Programs, Out of School Hours Support for students with disabilities, Respite Care and Excursions. We offer services in our state of the art community and respite centre in Mudgee, in the community, or in your own home. We have range of goal orientated programs based on personal and social skills development, as well as programs of interest that assist our clients to build their independence and participate in activities of their choice. All services offered have rewarding outcomes, supportive staff, and provide new exciting choices for People with Disabilities.
