What I've struggled with most in my journey...in no particular order.
Almost six years on this fertility path, and wow… it’s been full of challenges, heartbreak, lessons, and growth. 💛
From navigating the medical system, facing early loss, IVF cycles, and all the physical, emotional, and financial ups and downs ~ I'm not going to lie there have been moments when I've felt completely overwhelmed, exhausted + ready to give up on my dream of becoming a mum.
Yet through it all, my partner and I have held each other up. Our relationship has been tested, stretched, and challenged, but we as individuals + in our partnership have also grown deeper, stronger, and with more love, patience, and support than I could have imagined.
Every struggle in this experience has also held a hidden blessing of resilience, self-compassion, deeper body wisdom, spiritual growth, and the knowledge that even in uncertainty, love and connection will always win.
We've explored what it looks like to not have children (and make sure we're still ok as a couple), fostering + adoption, surrogacy etc + whichever path we're meant to be on as parents, caregivers or community caretakers we're trusting that our life will still look as connected + fulfilling as we desire. We just have so much love to give that however it's meant to be received will be worth it.
If you’re on your own fertility path, know that it’s okay to grieve, to question, to feel frustrated, and to still find moments of gratitude along the way. There is light even in the hardest seasons of life.
💌 I’d love to hear from you ~ what has been the unexpected blessing in your journey?
