I had two sunroof babies 😂. The first was due to the fact that Noah came out of engagement at 38 weeks pregnant. My doc put me hospital that night and by the time it was go time he was completely transverse. It took my obgyn and another nurse to push him down towards the c section cut so he could be born head first. My second was a no brainer. No doc would let me try a vbac 13 months after a csection (and rightly so!). So I had two babies and not one contraction. True story!

April is C-section Awareness Month.

Honestly… is a C-section really “easy”?

Skin. Fat. Fascia. Muscle. Peritoneum. Uterus.

Layer by layer… to bring a baby safely into the world.

And then she’s expected to get up, care for her baby, and recover at the same time.

That’s not the easy way out.
That’s strength. Real strength.

Your birth mattered.
Your experience counts.
And your scar tells a story.

In ancient Chinese mythology, when the world’s old patterns could no longer hold, a being called the Dragon-Horse ~ Longma 龙马 ~ would rise from the Yellow River.

Scaled like a dragon, fast as a horse, it carried on its back a new cosmic map: a sign that Heaven was ready to rewrite what had grown rigid, unjust, or out of balance.

My turn on the table! My bad knee, (which used to be my good knee) has been giving me a bit of stick recently. Very swollen with sharp pain 🙄. The nature of the pain (sharp) tells me that the blood isn’t moving properly. So I started with the famous knee points, blood points and other ah shi (painful points but not on a meridian) and heat. Lots of heat. When I pulled the needles out, one point spontaneously bled. You all know I love a bit of vampire action, so I cupped it. Pic in comments so don’t look if you’re squeamish. My pain is 70% better and I can’t believe I didn’t do this earlier! Plumbers have leaky taps and all that 😂
