There is a message coming .
This is someone who pulled back or went quiet in the past and is now considering reaching out again.
The message itself feels small and casual, testing the waters kind of message.
A “hey, how are you?” or “how have you been?” kind of opener.
They’re approaching it this way because they’re unsure how you’ll respond.
They know things aren’t the same and that they don’t have the same place in your life anymore.
Part of the hesitation comes from knowing they were the one who created that distance.

I want to say this clearly, because I think two things get mixed up a lot.
You are always worthy of love.
Not when you’re healed. Not when you’re perfect. Always.
Healing isn’t a finish line you cross and suddenly qualify for love. It’s something you move through over time, not something you complete.
And at the same time, growth still matters.
Because as you heal, you stop tolerating what once felt normal.
You stop attracting and staying in the same dynamics.
So worthiness isn’t the question. It never was.
Healing just changes the quality of love you’re willing to allow.

At some point, most people have gotten lost in a relationship, and I’ve done it many times. Giving a little more, putting up with things I was never actually okay with, thinking that if I just tried harder or stayed quieter or made myself easier, it would work.
What I’ve learned is this: you should never have to beg to be chosen. The moment love requires chasing, it stops being love. And the minute you have to shrink to be accepted, you abandon yourself. Nothing you gain that way will ever feel like home.
