In Chinese medicine, autumn is the season of letting go. A time connected to the Lungs, to breath, to space, to the gentle work of returning inward. Rather than pushing against this shift in energy, there can be wisdom in meeting it softly and sometimes it’s enough to just make a cup of tea, sit down while it’s still hot, and let yourself arrive where you are. 🫖✨

If you’ve ever been curious about Kundalini, or wondered whether it might be for you, classes with Iyari are a beautiful way to begin.

A dedicated practitioner of Himalayan Kundalini Yoga, Iyari continues to return to the Himalayas to study with her teacher each year.

These classes draw from an ancient lineage of breathwork, mudra, chanting, kriya and meditation. A practice that works powerfully yet steadily with energy, awareness and the nervous system.

Join Himalayan Kundalini Teacher for this transformative workshop centred around one of the most powerful and oldest mantras of the yogic tradition, the Gayatri Mantra.

You will be introduced to the revered mantra, the Gayatri, originating from the Rig Veda (original scriptures). Dedicated to the feminine principle of the sun, invoking creative intelligence and the light of consciousness.

You will learn:

~ The power of Mantra
~ Deeper philosophy of the Himalayan Yog-Vedantic tradition
~ A guided Himalayan breathwork and kundalini practice to support integration
~ The meaning and origins of the Gayatri Mantra and how to chant it
~ How to integrate the Gayatri into a simple daily spiritual practice

This workshop is ideal for students who wish to expand their yoga practice beyond asana and explore the deeper wisdom, philosophy and practices from this ancient tradition.

At Open Sky, we return again and again to two essential qualities: stillness and movement. Like two wings of the same bird, they are inseparable, and one without the other leaves us off balance.

~ Stillness invites us to slow down, listen and see more clearly.
~ Movement helps us shift energy, meet ourselves in motion and bring awareness into the body.

🌀Together, they help us find the meeting point between doing and being. Between practice and presence. Between what moves through us and what asks to be witnessed.

This is the philosophy at the heart of Open Sky, and it’s carried through everything we offer, from our regular stillness and movement classes to our community events.

Set yourself up for a little Sunday afternoon retreat with a beautiful two-class offering designed to support both movement and rest.

Begin with Slow Flow at 4pm, a gentle, breath-led class that offers a softer way to move, supporting all levels of experience. With a slower pace and mindful transitions, Slow Flow is designed to help you move energy, settle the nervous system, and return to the body with greater presence.

Then stay for Yin at 5:15pm, a nourishing and deeply grounded practice that invites you into stillness through long, supported holds. This class helps to gently release tension in the fascia, calm the nervous system, and support deep rest, making it the perfect complement to more dynamic movement and a beautiful way to close the weekend.

Slow Flow
Sunday 4:00pm to 5:00pm

Qi Gong is a beautiful way to explore gentle movement, breath, visualisation and intention while reconnecting with the natural flow of energy within the body.

Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese practice of energy cultivation. Through rhythmic movement and breath, this practice supports the smooth flow of Qi through the body, helping to calm the nervous system, increase circulation and energy levels, relax muscular tension, and lift overall mood.

Tom has been practicing Qi Gong for over eight years and has studied with a range of teachers in Australia and overseas. His classes explore different Qi Gong forms each week, allowing students to deepen their practice over time.

This is a practice that is accessible to everyone, offering a grounded and supportive way to reconnect with yourself, your environment, and the subtle intelligence of the body.

Join Tom every Tuesday and Thursday for Qi Gong at Open Sky Wellbeing.

New at Open Sky
Held in Inquiry with Sara De Clercq
Wednesdays, 5:30–6:30pm

Each week, Held in Inquiry explores a different theme through integrative dialogue, somatic awareness and spiritual inquiry.

This is a space to listen beneath the thinking mind and into the body, where memory, meaning and survival were shaped long before words. Together, we attune to the deeper intelligence moving through your life.

This work may support those moving with:

• Shame, self-doubt, and imposter feelings
• Chronic activation or collapse
• Disconnection from sensation and emotion
• Leadership and visibility thresholds
• Relationship longing and unspoken needs

A grounded and deeply attuned class for those wanting to meet themselves with more honesty, awareness and compassion.

You can book via our website.
