Your "healthy" high-fibre meal prep could be the reason you look 6 months pregnant by the afternoon.
We are told to eat more fibre for gut health. But if you have a sensitive gut, jumping straight into giant salads and bean bowls (the wrong fibre) is like sending a tsunami down a clogged drain. It causes a massive "traffic jam" (aka: painfully trapped gas and stool).
The trick isn’t to avoid fibre, it’s to support your gut by using the right fibre.
When I prep protein rich meals for myself, I follow two non-negotiables:
1️⃣ Cooked over Raw: Stir fry your veggies in saturated fat like ghee or duck fat - much easier for a struggling gut to break down than raw roughage.
2️⃣ The Hydration Rule: For every increase in fiber, you must increase water. Make sure you increase your fluids away from meal time so your digestive juices remain at full force.
