After 18 years as a massage therapist, the number one thing I’ve learned is this: never just massage the area where the pain is.
If someone says their neck or lower back feels tight, I don’t just focus there. The body works as an integrated system. Tension often begins in the extremities — the legs and arms — and travels through fascial and muscular chains into the spine.
By working through the legs, hips, shoulders and arms, we naturally reduce strain on the neck and lower back. When you treat the body as a whole, pain patterns shift more effectively and last longer.
If you’re in the Northern Rivers and feel ready for a deeper, more integrated bodywork session, get in touch or head to the link in bio to learn more about my therapies.
